I BOUGHT THIS TO TAKE TO A RACE WHERE WE HAD TO HAVE OUR OWN WAY TO POWER OUR CAMPER ,AND FOR THE PRICE I WAS WONDERING HOW WELL IT WOULD DO.PLEASNTLY SUPPRIZED AT HOW WELL IT RAN AND PROVIDED ALL THE JUICE WE NEEDED.IT WAS LOUDER THAN I EXPECTED BUT NOT CRAZY LOUD. THE GAUGE THAT SHOWED POWER OUTPUT AND HOURS RAN IS A REAL PLUS.

Electric start is great for those cold days. Large wheels for ease of moving. Well built and and quieter than my previous generators. Smaller size makes it easy to store. CO2 sensor and low oil indicators make for safe operation.Built in RV and 5 prong connectors are very convenient. Would definitely buy this product again.

After much research on the net I selected the WGEN5300S for my emergency portable generator. The key features I was looking for was size vs power ratio, Decibel level and run time. Westinghouse is a generational name brand and the selection was right on. After adding fuel and oil the generator started right up second pull.

I opened the box, followed the instructions and everything went like clock work. Performed an initial test at 120v for 1 hour powering my barn (lights, aircompresser, welder, etc.). The generator worked perfectly with no problems. Only con, it takes a while to warm up and move slowly off choke. But, I can manage that.

This generator is exactly what I needed for New England weather, where power outages happen fairly regularly and sometimes last for days (thanks a lot, EverSource!). It's got enough juice to handle all our needs and gives us peace of mind that we won't lose food in fridges and freezers, or be without water (since we're on a well pump).

After hours of research and reading too many reviews to count, I decided on the WGen5300S as the perfect addition to my disaster prep. This generator has a better fuel/hour ratio than most other brands. It also includes great features that others don't such as the 120/240 selector, both transfer switch and RV hookups and the digital display. All this for just a bit more than other brands. I feel really good about the next power outage, but must say that I hope I don't need it. Well done Westinghouse!

I received this Generator 2 days after ordering it. It was packed extremely well for shipping. The only things that needed done after it was unpacked was put on the wheels, add oil, plug in the battery and fill the gas tank. After that it fired right up. i would recommend this generator. it is a high quality product.

This generator has the capacity to run a refrigerator, cube freezer, microwave, small window AC, and some lighting. Easy to assemble wheels and antivibe feet. Comes with necessary tools to assemble and a spark plug wrench and oil. Only add about 3/4 of the oil. Added fuel and it started right up. After initial run of about 5 minutes let's sit for 5 minutes and check oil again. Should be right in the middle. This model has an electric starter, with battery, and also a hand pull cord. Follow the maintenance instructions and it should last forever.

We bought this to replace an old generator for the upcoming hurricane season and doing yard work far from the house with electric power tools. After the 1 hour unloaded break-in and then 30 minutes using light loads we went up on the roof with 2 large leaf blowers and it handled that easily. Tree pruning, Blowers, EChainsaw, no problem. Very tight power regulation and the unit is quiet enough once you go indoors you can’t hear it running. Comes with tools and the oil fill funnel is a nice touch. Great unit.

Bought this generator as a back up after a storm to power a few household items. I was easy to unpack and add the wheels/legs. The product came damaged from shipping, but I contacted the customer service hotline and had a new piece sent to me immediately hassle free. I was very impressed on how great the customer service was and how responsive they were. I was kept in the loop throughout the process. I am glad I bought this generator!
