Just got it in, only 4 days after I ordered it. It has a good looking finish and I like the way it looks. It started on the second pull and I didn’t use the choke! It comes almost completely together out of the box, just need to install the wheels and feet, and add the oil which is included. It is not too loud, and I like that the handle folds down out of the way. It’s a little smaller in dimensions than my older Generac, which I now gave to my youngest son. (I have no complaints about the old one, I hadn’t ran it since Hurricane Ida 2.5 years ago, and it started on the first pull, again! And I purchased it about 35 years ago) I just wanted to update with a new generator and I think I will be satisfied with this one! This one feels a little lighter than the other one also. ( I am not as old as I used to be!) I really like that it has a power breaker switch that shuts off the power to the receptacles even while the engine is running. It also has a switch that allows you to switch from 220v to 120v. We are not looking forward to another power outage, but at least we feel better about having a new power supply!

Just received my 5300v genny and in short order I had it oiled up and running. Ran like a top during the first hour of break in. Like that it has plenty of power for major appliances during a power outage. Only minor gripe so far is it's a little hard to start requiring several strong pulls. Overall lots of good features and lots of usable power at its price. Don't think you could find a better deal for the money!

Bought the 4000.. first time out froze up as we are camping.. Bought the 4375 ..had issues. Tiny sound. Bought the 6875. Too heavy..gas hog and way loud at 25 ft. Thru a breaker not at the generator but in the camper panel box. They went back! Purchased the Westinghouse. Amazed..quiet...energy efficient..weight easy to lift. Handles the camper very well.

The generator started OK the first day. It started up again when I refueled. But after the first day (2 hours running time) I haven't been able to start it. I would have waited until I got a new spark plug (or whatever else needs to be fixed) before writing a review, but they wanted a review as part of registering the warranty.

Purchased late Dec. 2021. My new Wgen 5300s is everything I need for portable emergency power. Added gas and oil, it started on the first pull and purrs like a kitten. Very impressed with how quite it is too and the confidence of Westinghouse quality and great pricing!! Thanks for a fine product.

I did d a lot of research before purchasing the WGen5300s, it had tons of great reviews across the internet. I am very happy with its size and various outlets. One of the best features is the electric start it’s so easy my 10 year old starts it up no problem. Check out this generator if you are looking for solid performance at a realistic price.

I just received this generator and it works great. It is quiet, light weight, and the motor sounds great. It comes with all the necessary tools, including oil funnel and spark plug wrench. Installing the wheel kit was very easy. I recommend this generator to anyone looking to power their home during a power outage.

This generator was the best Watt/Cost ratio. It has an easy pull start, you don't need a battery or worry about it being charged. I chose the gas only version over propane because unless you have a stationary tank, you still need to stop any generator in order to switch fuel type, you would need to take care of the additional propane tank, and running on propane reduces the maximum wattage. Other features included that other generators at this price don't have: roll cage, wheels, digital gauge with voltage, frequency, hours, and use timer. With a 5300 running watts limit, it runs with no problem my big fridge, a crockpot, 50" LCD TV, DVD player, 2 tablets, 2 cell phones, and a fan. Planning to add a window AC unit and when winter comes, a space heater. Also planning to add an interlock switch to run the lights and the furnace.

Recently purchased the wgen5300s. It arrived promptly and in perfect condition. Setup was easy and the instructions were clear. I tested the unit by connecting two 1500 watt space heaters and then added my miter saw. It handled the load as expected. I also tested the electric start and the manual pull cord. Both worked perfectly.

I purchased this generator at the end of last month, shortly after after loosing power. We had recently been experiencing heavy rain and our sump pump was working overtime; the short power outage was not fun, manually pumping the sump! I'm prepared now! It did arrive a little later than predicted and a little beat-up (recoil starter cover bent from hit to box). But happy to have purchase this.
