Good coffee and Excellent value.

This is very good coffee and an excellent value as well. I'm not a coffee expert but I have a nice burr grinder, a french press etc and have tried a few brands and types and this is one of my favorites overall and it's an outstanding value.

Copper Moon--is the one for a great cup o' joe

for a dark roast coffee it was surprisingly mild. I'm not sure if it was the way i prepared it most of the time i use my ninja drip coffee brewer, however i was given a French press. this coffee came out great, i also prepared their Sumatran coffee and that too came out great. i would say that the French press AND following instructions for the proper prep of fresh ground coffee (correct amt of coffee per cup. and the proper water temp) will make a great cup of coffee

Excellent

Slightly dark for a light roast, but excellent taste, but is not forgiving being brewed outside of perfect 205-207° This is my current everyday coffee, replacing the members mark light roast that was DC'd

Outstanding full bean flavor. Fast shipping

Outstanding coffee. Have been drinking for a few years. Never disappointed. Found brand through Sam's club. We order direct sometimes and add to Sam's order at other times.

The Main reason I keep My PLUS membership!

Im pickey about my coffee. I 90% make espresso, usually a flat white or latte. This coffee is amazing. Hands down. I uses a eureka grinder and Gaggia and it is a joy to sip this coffee. The flavor notes are right on. I get ruby red grapefruit with the first sips, then slight nutty, then maple syrup, slight chocolate and slight earthiness. But the grapefruit flavor really shines and the aftertase (finish) is amazing. One hour later I still can taste it! I usually try many coffee from different countrys and processing, but this Natural Ethiopian is just outsanding. As soon as I open a new bag, im ordering another. They really knocked it out of the park with this coffee. Be aware that this coffe does have a nice grapefruit note so if fruity notes is not your thing Its understandable. But for me I love nuances and layers of flavor in my coffee and so far this will Stay im my permanent rotation.

Some do not know/understand coffee

Some people do not know coffee beans. If you have ever roasted coffee beans then you know. Also there are people who buy "Starbucks coffee" which is notoriously over roasted, even their "light roast" is over roasted, and this just confuses people. A true Light roasted coffee does not have oil. Hope some of this information is helpful. Light roasted coffee is not for everyone.

This is not a bad blend, I just enjoy stronger

I am used to a more robust, medium blend. So I doubled the amt I use for my daily coffee. Not bad, just need a stronger blend. I like that is is Non GMO, etc.

Not a Light Roast

Not at all a light roast as advertised. It was a dark roast with no oily residue on the beans, which is most likely an overcooked or burnt roast. Made one pot and it was bitter, not for me. Perhaps other batches were a light roast and this batch was an anomaly.

Specialty Coffee = Dark / Commercial = Light

Two different worlds, two different perspectives. If you're used to most commercially available/mass produced coffees, yes this is a light/medium roast. If you buy specialty coffee and bought this thinking you'd get some bang for buck value, this is a dark roast. The signature characteristics of Ethiopian or other African beans is very muted and not very complex. The "roast" flavor comes through prominently, so you are tasting less coffee and more carbon (bunt ash). Some people grew up with this flavor and love the "strong" flavor of coffee and dislike specialty coffee which can be too acidic/sour. This isn't nuked like Vietnamese coffee tends to be, so not as bitter and burnt tasting, so might be the right amount of roast for those used to commercial coffee, but not for specialty coffee drinkers. Unfortunately, this was not my cup of coffee. I am going to buy creamer for the first time in many many years and I think I'll enjoy it. In my photo, there's two specialty Ethiopian light roasts and the Copper Moon. Can you guess which one is Copper Moon? Hint: It's oily... and dark
