This is not the great Coconut Cake they use to sell a couple of years ago. The current one is not so great. I haven't bought Sam's Coconut Cake in a long time because they switched recipes, makers, I don't know what but sure wish they would go back to the 6-layer Cake they used to sell, which did have the current thick, very sweet butter cream frosting and only 3-layers. The original cake had a frosting that was lighter and not so thick or too sweet. I bought the cake yesterday on-line and it was delivered with other groceries. It's partly my fault because the photo's of the cake didn't look like the previous cake and if you scrolled through the additional photo's you would see a 3-layer cake. However, I didn't look through all the photo's, I was so happy because the description said it was a 6-layer cake. Please. whoever is in charge of Coconut Cakes, bring back the original 6-layer cake. I don't even like cakes that much, but the original Coconut Cake I could eat all day long.

Very moist

This was one of the best coconut cakes I have every had! Moist, sweetness just right and a wonderful coconut flavor all through the cake. We had 16 people over for Easter dinner and it was liked by all! I had the last piece for breakfast today. We bought one last year and it was good but remember it was kind of dry. Not the problem with this cake. You really need to keep this item all year around.

Excellent cake. I froze half since it was massive.

Just awful ; it has very little icing and it’s says 6 layers but it’s 3 don’t buy you will be disappointed

These cakes were fabulous. They froze well, and were delicious. WHY don't they have them anymore???

Please bring this cake back best Coconut if u do I am going to get 3 put in the freezer. So delicious!!!!!

Overall cake is good, but I would suggest bakers to ad kess sugar as coconut is sweet by itself. Thank you

It is very plain.Lots of frosting,but not much flavor inside
