Quiet unit and blows very cold. But when set on economy, the unit cycles on and off up 3 to 4 times a minute. That seems odd. I get that it's supposed to cycle on and off, but on for 15 seconds off for 10 and on again for another 20 seconds. How is that saving any money? And it sure gets annoying.

We often refer to it as the Sauna during our summer 100+ temps with 80%+ humidity, I have replaced my second floor units with home run hitter in window AC's (I currently own 3 LG window AC's two 18000 btu's and 1 6,000). Even when the quiet and high efficiency units just keep it cool. My Family loves it and so do I.

Relatively quiet - seems effective. It hasn't been really hot as yet but, I think it will be capable. ECO feature was a little un-nerving at first (It shuts down then starts back up periodically) but, as the compressor(?) doesn't 'clunk, I think it's fine.

I recommended the LG LW1516ER to her because I have had one myself for about four years and it's been great. This unit cools her open living room to the kitchen and does a terrific job, just like mine does for me, and it's QUIET. Yeah you can hear it but it's not noisey enough to get annoying. I'm still surprised at how powerful the a/c is and how much square footage it cools. My living room, kitchen, and dining area all get well cooled (about 850 sq. ft.) The area of my mom's house is a little smaller and this unit EASILY handles it.

This unit is more than adequate, but it gets really, really hot here (South Texas), and we generally don't keep it running all the time. So I appreciate that it cools down the room fast and is working perfectly and efficiently.

I bought this unit when my Frigidaire crapped out. Saw my friends LG ac and I knew this was the one I wanted. It cools off my entire downstairs and my bedroom at the top of the steps if I keep a fan pointed up the steps. I don't even have one in my bedroom. The ac and my ceiling fan do the trick. Great ac. Actually my friend has 2 of em.

Great unit. I easy to install. My only complaint is that when I originally started it up, the fan was very wobbly and you could hear it throughout our home. It eventually worked its way straight after constant high speed use. Otherwise it's put out wonderful, very cold air.
