COOL AIR!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After my ancient unit died and my small AC would only cool one small area where I would be sitting, a wonderful couple bought me this AC as a gift. I have a 700sq. ft. Open area house and the unit keeps it quite comfortable for the most part. The loft, where I sleep, still needs a fan to help direct the air upstairs, but being cool is the most important thing. The feature of the unit turning itself on every 3-4 minutes, to check to see if it needs to turn on the compressor, is loud and quite annoying and that is why I only gave 4 stars. My little unit also turned on when the temperature was too high, but it didn't need to turn itself on every few minutes to check and I don't think central air does it this way either. I haven't received an electric bill since I started using this so I'm hoping the unit turning on and off doesn't make the bill higher. Yesterday the "clean filter" light came on and I checked the filter. I've had the unit for only 2 weeks and there was only a very small bit of dust on the middle of the filter. I hope this doesn't become a problem. I'm more than willing to have a reminder to clean the filter WHEN IT IS NEEDED. Overall, I'm very happy with this product because it does what it is supposed to do and that is to keep us cooled.

So far so good

When I received the unit it had dents and the front plastic cover had the nubs already broken off so I had to tape it on. It weighs 110 pounds so I'm not going to attempt to pull it out of the window and return it because of the cover. It works and blows out cold, it does make a rattling noise when first turned on but quiets down after awhile. I bought the extended warranty so I'll see how it goes, but except for the cover so far so good.

So far works great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just had this installed on Sunday, today is Wednesday and it keeps great temp, it shuts off when it hits the set temp, not loud, easy to control. So far I am really happy in Arizona during monsoon humidity, and the electric usage is good so far have it on energy save. LG is a great brand.

LG 15,000 BTU 115v Window Unit

The website gave good dimensions. All hardware was provided, although the long screws rounded the head out and I had to switch to deck screws for the outside window sill support brackets. The instructions were easy to follow. It cooled the room down in nothing flat with the factory setpoint of 73 deg F. it is on power saver mode and it takes a lot of getting used to the fan cycling off and on, but it does a good job of keeping the room comfortable. I would recommend this product.

Terrible loud as all can be!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Well I made a big mistake and bought a 2nd LG A/C after the first one stopped working. Low fan speed went out right after purchase and it got super loud after a few months now the one we got last June is super loud. I thought LG made good stuff but I have learned different.

Four year life span

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Four year life span. The power plug module started buzzing the fourth year I needed it, Blew cool air but didn't seem to turn off. Finally crapped out completely and tripped the breaker. Really sad. I'm used to A/Cs lasting twenty years.

Our Second LG LW1516ER

We had our first of these for over 6 years in hot, muggy, South Mississippi, and it performed better than we could hope. When it finally gave its all, we decided to replace with exactly the same model. I am sure we'll have the same cool, happy days with this one, too! Way to go, LG!

Love It

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought a few weeks ago- I actually added this review with my other, I bought the 10,000 and 15,000. Couldn't be happier. The 15,000 you will prob need help installing-but it is easy. You will not regret, It runs quietly.

Dying in the heat
2 out of 5 stars review

Good while it lasted…which wasn't long!

After two summers of use this no longer cools my 600 sq ft apartment. The first two summers I could have it set on 68 and the whole place was cool and comfortable, now even set at 64 the thermostat in the house says it's 72°! I am so frustrated bc this was a very expensive unit!

Hi, there. Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us regarding the LG Air Conditioner (LW1516ER) model. We understand how concerning it can be when a product that was once reliable no longer performs as expected. We aim to make good quality products that meet our customers' needs. To help with the cooling problem, we suggest a few things to improve performance. Firstly, try cleaning or changing the air filters because a dirty filter can make the unit less efficient. Also, make sure all windows and doors are sealed properly to keep out heat.
