I wasn't sure about how long the "break in period" would take but after two weeks of sleeping on the mattress, I began to feel the difference and sleep better and better. I thought I bought the wrong firmness but after the 4th week, I knew I made the correct choice. After sleeping on other types of memory foam mattresses for over 10 years, I am totally convinced there is nothing better than my Tempur-ProAdapt. I will never go back to those other types and brands. Thank you Tempur-Pedic for giving me "The Best" mattress I've ever owned. Know more back pains or waking up several times in the night. I can't think of one thing I don't like or am sorry I spent a little more for a Tempur-Pedic. This is a quality product!

My previous mattresses were a Sealy coil/box spring and most recently a Simmons Beauty Rest coil/box spring which I had for almost 10 years . In the last six to eight months with the Simmons, I started feeling back pain as the middle of the mattress started to sag. The first couple of nights on the Tempur-Pedic felt foriegn compared to what I'd been used to for a decade; now that I've been sleeping on it for 10 weeks, I can easily say that it's the most comfortable mattress I've ever owned. At first, I wondered if the medium Hybird was too firm, but no; after less than a week, I now sleep very, very good every single night. Yes, Tempur-Pedic mattresses are expensive but they are worth the price, I have no regrets. I work a lot of hours all the time, averaging about 5 1/2-6 hours of sleep 6 of 7 days a week. I needed something really comfortable allowing me to fall asleep quick in the hours I have which is what the Tempur-Pedic offers. Oh yah, I have the pillows too, which are very nice.

This mattress is way too firm, actually it's hard. It is like sleeping on the floor. I really hope to fall in love with it but I'm having my doubts. I've read that there is an "adjustment" period, but I don't know if that means the bed will soften up or that I will get use to the hardness. The sample at the store was firm but very comfortable and I could feel it contouring to my body, but my bed did zero contouring. I am very disappointed but it has only been one night. Actually the idea of having to adjust to a bed is a bit ridiculous. i don't know if I can exchange the bed for Medium firmness but I may try. Remember too that the mattresses at the store have been repeatedly sat and layed on so over time they soften up. I don't have that sort of time, plus I weight 170 and I sleep alone so will my body weight alone soften the bed up enough for me to really find comfort and joy my expensive purchase. Overall the bed is beautiful and well made. Quality is top of the line.

Ok people, I'm 22 years old. I've slept in three beds in my entire life. Obviously started out in a crib, moved to a twin and slept on that same mattress until about 19. Moved in with my fiance and sleeping in a king mattress until May 11th 2020 when our Split King Pro-Adapt mattresses finally arrived! We both got to the point where we were having a lot of problems in our old mattress. He has sciatic nerve issues occasionally and is always tossing and turning. I am a very light sleeper and was barely sleeping the last 3 weeks before our new mattress was delivered. The nerves in my lower legs also seem to go crazy when I am laying down so any type of movement from my fiance makes it that much more stressful especially when he thinks he has to launch hmself in and out of bed in the middle of the night lol. It was miserable! We decided to get a firm split king because of our different needs though we both wanted a firm mattress and I had read previous reviews where some people no longer felt their partner move around so that really made me want a split king. We decided to pair it with the Ergo adjustable base (Separate review.. life changing) and it took over a month to get everything delivered but finally low and behold we are sleeping better! Love me a firm mattress! Our old one just felt too soft and I couldn't seem to find a position where my body truley felt relaxed. I barely feel him moving around and the nerves in my legs have calmed down so much I would assume due to now I sleep wih the bottom end of the mattress lifted (Thanks Ergo base)! I have been sleeping better though still having some issues on night where I just can't sleep. I am getting ready to buy some new pillows from here that I think will work with the mattress and base and completely fix all of my problems! If you get a firm, once you set it up, it will feel really hard but don't be alarmed! That will change when it warms up to the temp of the room. When we set it up and sat on it, we looked at each other like uhhhhhhh this is like laying on cement and we were hoping we didn't just make a giant mistake lol but nope it was perfect once it warmed up! Only thing that kind of sucks is that I read you shouldn't use heated blankets on the mattress. I have been using a heated blanket the passed 2 years since my feet can't ever get warm. They are always freezing cold at night and would cramp up in the middle of the night so I'm having a lot more cramping now but it's a small price to pay. I think I just need a better comforter. Overall, I love this mattress and am trying to convince my parents they should get one too! Was well worth the money! You spend a big portion of your life in bed. Might as well be comfy! All of my future bed products will now be purchased through Tempur-Pedic!

Wife and I have slept on it 35 nights now. So far it's wonderful. We both sleep through the night, don't get hot and can't feel each other move or get in and out of bed. The hybrid has a great solid feel. Very comfortable on your side or back/stomach. Definitely an all around great mattress.

I had a Terpur mattress I bought in Hong Kong...it is the original product and not the USA licensed product. It started to delaminate after 5 years and since ai moved back to Hawaii, I could not make any adjustments with the original Tempur company. So far, this USA mattress gives me the comfort that I wanted and has decreased my back aches. I have a concern, though...will this mattress start to delaminate because I also have a Tempur-pedic adjustable bed frame and I like to raise the head and leg when I watch TV in bed. Other than that concern, I am happy with my purchase.

I generally prefer a soft/medium mattress and my husband likes the bed on the firmer side. We got the Temper-ProAdapt in medium and have both been very comfortable. When you first lay on it, the mattress feels quite firm (to me) but gently forms to your body and feels very supportive. It doesn't feel like you are sinking into the mattress, it is still comfortable to move or turn. And it was immediately comfortable from the first night. It also seems to stay cooler than our last mattress, we both sleep warm so that is a huge plus. We've also experienced little to no movement transfer, neither of us stirs when the other gets into our out of bed, which is really important because we aren't always on the same schedule. I also really appreciate that the mattress is very light. I like to keep our sheets really tight, so I lift each corner of the mattress and it is SO much lighter than our old mattress. I've been a side sleeper for my whole life and try sleeping on my back from time to time because I hear it is better for us and this mattress is the most comfortable I've been sleeping on my back. The delivery process was easy to set up and the gentlemen who brought it were pleasant and professional. It's been a couple of weeks and we are loving our mattress!

I have a split king. I have the soft and my husband has the firm. We are sleeping 100% better! The bed conforms to your body and I now sleep with no pain from pressure points. I love that you can adjust the bed for reading or propping up your feet. Warning....its hard to get up in the morning!

We purchased the Pro Adapt soft mattress after trying one at the local store. Once delivered the labels show it to be the same one but this one is very firm / hard. My wife has back issues and this is making it worse, not better. After a couple months of no change, we have made arrangements with the store to replace it with a different mattress - not Tempurpedic. We had a Tempurpedic years ago but this one was not like it was. Very disappointed.

Relative to other beds and based on timeframe (6mths as of nov 2022) proadapt med hybrid is the best bed for pressure relief with support that i have found. I dont like the slow sink of the all memory foam bed and this hybrid counters that effect nicely. I am side sleeper predominantly, 235 lbs and need some give in the bed w/o sinking my hips (hammock effect) this bed has performed very well to date. I changed my mattress protector and sheets to bamboo which help diminish any hot spots that I was experiencing with cotton sheets and the tempur mattress. Although i didnt want to pay this much for a bed .... thus far it has been a great purchase well worth the money if i can get 10 years out of it.
