Excellent battery

I’ve had this for several months now and I’m very pleased with its performance. It serves as a back-up power source for my home theater system and several other components such as a Wi-Fi extender and home theater peripherals. It has plenty of power to be able to operate the devices for several hours.

Great for our camper and at home.

We bought a camper last year and wanted a battery and inverter option to allow us to work remotely. The Delta 2 is perfect because it’s small and lightweight relative to its capabilities. We also like being able to carry extra batteries as needed for more capacity but leaving them home when not needed. It’s also been great at home. We lost power for a day recently while I had an important meeting and it ran my entire work setup with plenty of charge left over. Highly recommend.

Game Changer!!

I have only had my Delta 2 about a week, but it has already been a game changer for me. It has become central to my quality of life. With 1800w of AC output in such a small and complete package I now can move more freely while maintaining my ability control my environment. I have severe food allergies and the Delta 2 allows me to take my food preparation on the road with me so that I can insure my food is allergen free and cooked to my preference. No more cold, water logged food on the go. I now have a small refrigerator, induction burner, and water pot in the trunk of my car, or in my SUV. I can pull over at the time and location of my choice and by doing so level out the nutritional intake that curbs the peaks and valleys associated with delayed meals. The Delta 2 is easy to use, has ample charging options, and is rock solid in its performance. Game changer and life changer.

High quality power station.

I've been waiting for the "right size" LFP based power station for a while now. This one fits the bill for me and seems to be very high quality. Really like the quality feel of the hardware, the high power inverter and the app looks great and is simple to use. I'll be adding some solar panels next.

Excellent build quality and performance

The initial setup process including updating the firmware was simple and completed with no issues. I really appreciate the ability to control the charge and discharge limits and charging speed in order to maximize battery lifespan. Non-emergency charging can be done slowly to minimize battery wear, but when needed the fastest charge rate is amazingly quick! The 5 year warranty you receive after registering the produce is excellent and is a first in the industry for power stations in this price range.

Very good power supply

Very good power supply, I used the 400 W power supply from a Chevrolet 1500 to charge the power bank with no success. Then after passing through a 36 volt power converter it was fine. see Attachment. If there is a 48-volt 10-amp power converter, the charging power can reach 400 watts.

Worth My Money

I bought the Delta 2 a little more than a month ago to help run my refrigerator and freezer in the event of an outage. I know it’s on the light end for this in terms of available power, but my plan was to buy another one and I will rotate them (Charge one while the other is running.) I like how light the unit is; light enough for my wife to move if I’m not there. I looked at another popular brand, but was concerned that my wife wouldn’t be able to lug it around, weighing in at around 60 lbs. So far I’ve tested it with my coffee maker and my indoor refrigerator and it worked as advertised. It ran my frig for 9.5 hours before running out of power. The advertised recharge time was also accurate. I’ve not yet recharged it with my two 220w panels. That’s next on my agenda. All in all, happy I made the purchase. Debating now if I’ll get another Delta 2 or try a Delta Max to get some extra power and longer run time.

Thoughts from a utility-scale battery integrator

Overall this is an excellent unit with plenty of features and options to customize how you want to use it. I'm personally using it for smaller devices so the 1800W capacity is nice but not necessary. New firmware updates have been brining even more features to the unit which is a plus. I tested the battery capacity and it exceeded the 1024 Wh stated capacity, so you're getting what you pay for. Also the LiFePO4 battery chemistry is far superior to other cell chemistries and is what utility-scale battery storage containers are using. Solar charging works extremely well. I was using (4) 100W Ecoflow panels in the winter and was able to get about 395 Watts using my professionally mounted patio chairs. Here's some of my recommendations to get the most life out of you battery: - If you're storing it for long periods of time, maintain the charge around 40%. - Most utilities set the charge settings to be 98% and discharge down to 2% and they cycle batteries almost daily. I'm not running my unit that hard but keep the 2% and 98% setting the same. - Minimize the depth of discharge. Discharging from 100% to 0% will degrade the battery faster than discharging from 100% to 50%. If you're cycling the battery every day I'd recommend doing further research. - Enable slow charging. It adds less thermal stress to the components and there's no point to use the fast charge unless you're in a hurry. - You may notice it will discharge for a while around 0-1%. The same thing happens with grid-scale batteries. I would recommend discharging the battery fully, recharging to 100%, then discharging it back to 0% at least 2 times. This will help train the the battery control unit to be more accurate. Other observations: - The unit is fairly heavy but the carry handles are well built and I felt comfortable carrying it one-handed by a single handle. -I use the unit for powering my modem/router and the UPS feature switches fast enough so they maintain power upon loss of AC to the unit. There is a very short delay (30ms I think per the manual) so critical non-capacitive loads may cut out. - The fan is fairly loud/high pitch around the max output. Around 1000 watts it sounds like a regular fan. - There is an 'AC Always On' setting. This will keep the AC outlet relay energized and will slowly drain the battery, even if no AC loads are on.

I feel so much better knowing we have a backup!

After months of reviewing various companies and their systems, we went with the EcoFlow Delta 2. We got two units, one for upstairs, one for downstairs, and a battery backup and a solar panel. When we received it, we literally opened the box, plugged it in, and very quickly (well under an hour?), it was fully charged! Truly a plug and play. The units are light enough to pick up and move around without a problem and to store in a small place. We haven't tried the battery backup or solar panels yet, but by every indication it will be a simple procedure as well. I love knowing that we can keep basics going now during a power outage, and have enough power to last quite a while, while being able to use the solar panels to recharge the units. If you feel intimated like we did, this is for you! Our next step will be to work up to a Pro for a whole house system, but until then we feel this was the best option for performance and price.

Ideal Size, Great Features

I've been nervous during some past power outages, but when Tennessee Valley Authority required 5-10% reductions on the grid with what was barely a top 10 cold snap, I knew it was time. I decided on Ecoflow first, then on the Delta 2 as a great starting unit (will likely add a battery later). It was super easy to lift onto my counter, important for a woman of a "certain age", and very easy to set up. I've tested my refrigerator, Breville milk frother, my Nespresso machine, and electric blanket. All thumbs up! I also added on a solar panel, which was very easy to unpack and set up, but I haven't tested that yet. I'll leave a review under the panels when I do. And now its charging up again because an ice storm is rolling in.
