Trained as a Generator Operator/Mechanic in the Army. This is the finest machine I have every used. It starts on the 1st pull. Easy directions and very easy to use. Everyone should have one! Very quiet. It restarts, after running for a while it the Texas heat, very easily too. Can't say enough good things about it.

bought two of these generators for hurricane Laura - each ran about 7 hours on a tank of gas - powered a window air conditioner, three fans and a tv - easy to start and made very little noise - ran generators concurrent for four days with no problems.

I bought this a month ago and it started up on the first pull of the recoil rope! It has started on first pull ever since. I've plugged in to my Shore Power line to my sail boat and it runs smoothly adjusting its power output to the demand. Excellent machine!

Luckily I haven't needed it in an emergency situation yet but I did the break in period and plugged a few things into it to see how it went. It ran a couple smaller heaters and a couple lamps with ease and ran relatively quiet. Instructions were easy to understand. Hopefully I'll never need it but glad to have it if I do.

After checking the unit upon arrival for any shipping damage (no damage whatsoever), I oiled and gassed the unit up. The generator started right up. I ran for about an hour under light load. Then doubled the load with no problems. I was surprised how cool the generator ran. I was also pleased with the low vibration produced. I ran the unit without economy mode and found the noise levels were still much lower than the traditional full size generator I have.

I spent a lot of time researching generators deciding the type, size, placement, extension cord, etc. I'm an older girl at 76 yrs and was definitely intimidated with buying and setting up a generator for the house. As it turned out, the research was much more work than getting it running. It was heavy to move for me but do-able. Nice that all the required tools were included. I did buy a new gasoline container that held just 1.25 gallons and added stabilizer to the gasoline before I filled the generator. My only hang-up was getting the panel off to add the oil. I couldn't figure out why the panel wouldn't come off when I loosened the screws. Finally realized that it was held in place by buttons and slots and needed to be wedged off. So got it up and running, lit a lamp and had a glass of wine. Nice! I would definitely recommend it.

Prior to this purchase I used a smelling 2 stroke 800 watt generator to recharge batteries on my travel trailer when the sun failed to shine on my 300 watts of PV panels. Embarrassed ever time I fired the 2 stroke, due to the noise and smoke, I wanted to hide in shame from fellow campers. Looking for replacement and after much research I chose the Westinghouse iGen2200 and after seeing and hearing it in action I'm very pleased. Build quality, starting, quietness, and portability are all more than acceptable. The 1800 running watts may be overkill for our use, but the surplus means it will run at lower rpms and therefore quitter when charging that bats. Bonus is we can use the microwave as intended instead of a storage cabinet.

I bought this almost a year ago. I didn't use it until about a month ago. After filling it with oil and gas, it started up easily. I like the fuel filling features, especially the strainer. The generator delivers the promised power and is relatively quiet. My only complaint--my fault--is that it is heavier than I imagined, but not heavier than advertised

Second Westinghouse generator for this family. The first has been inherited by my brother after hundreds of hours of flawless operation. This new iGen2200 started on the second pull and runs at 41 decibels in the efficiency mode. Good quality product at a great price. Keep it up!
