Was easy to setup and started easily. Won't really know what I honestly think of overall performance until I've had time to use it for a while. These reviews would be more meaningful if you'd do a follow-up in a month or so.

It is so nice to have the confidence that if the power does go out we have backup. I have purchased two for both sides of the house and feel confident they can do the job

Started first pull. Build quality seems very good. Hard to beat the price and the features of this generator. Time will tell if it lasts, but reviews from other people were good.

So far, so good. Great little generator for camping and emergency backup at home. Enough to timeshare between fridge and gas furnace during prolonged power outage. A bargain at only $330.

Great price for a great product. Quiet, fuel efficient and works flawlessly. Used it for 8 hours straight with our camper and didn't have to add fuel.

I needed another generator to run my air Conditioner on my RV. Since my first westinghouse iGen that I have had for 3 years ran so good with NO problems, it only made sense to get another one. Now I have 3600 running watt.

Very pleased. At 46 pounds very manageable. Easy starting. Quiet operation. The fuel economy switch is a pleasant change from flat out revving of regular generators. The fuel bowl drain is a big plus.

Added oil and premium no ethanol gas. Started on 3rs pull. Starts great, idles great until you put load to it. It handles about a 600watt load fine. When you approach 1000watt, which is about half of running rating it stumbles, hunts up and down. The auto idle spring is going crazy watching it dance around. Called support and got sent to the overflow center which is not westinghouse. They basically take your information and create a ticket. He said i might hear back within 4 days. I am not hopeful of resolution based on what I am reading fr similar reviews. Looks like if you get one that works out of the box you are golden. But their quality control and support leaves much to be desired. I am going to return to Sam's.

I purchased this generator when it went on sale last year after reading a lot of reviews (mostly positive) and comparing to a Honda. At first, I really loved this little generator. Ran my small tool tasks here at our homestead and was super quiet, light, and always started up on the first go. It's stored inside and only gets engineered, high-quality fuel. Then, before the first oil change was due after probably no more than 2-hours of total use, *Poof*, fault indicator came on and I shut it down. Reset the breakers, etc. in case (none were tripped) and restarted, no power gen, no indicator lights, but running super fast. Went through all the Westinghouse troubleshooting and calling them per the manual. After being on hold nearly 1.5 hours, finally got a rep, and they told me "bad inverter" in the generator and gave me a ticket for the nearest service center (over an hour away). Dropped this off July 19, and Westinghouse made the service center go fully through the unit again - deemed bad invertor based on a failed capacitor. New capacitor took two weeks to get to the service center. They replaced it and still bad. Then Westinghouse send an entire new inverter part; wrong one. Correct one on back-order for 3-6 months. So, after the service center pushed on my behalf, Westinghouse sent a full new unit. This recent Monday, (now October 18th; a full three months later), the new unit arrived. However, the new unit will start but will not run. The service center once again had to do a full diagnostic on the generator where Westinghouse deemed it bad. So now, waiting on yet another replacement. Pitiful. In owning this generator, it's been worked on longer than it's run. Westinghouse - a BIG fail on what should be an awesome little unit. Next time, I'm going Honda.

I bought two of these to pair for my RV. The first one that I unboxed would not start after I added the oil and fuel. I took the covers off and checked for spark, and found that the spark plug gap was set much tighter than the manual specs. I fixed that, then upon inspecting the fuel system, I found that the main line from the tank to the shutoff valve was pulled off of it's fitting and a bolt had been stuck in there and clamped. After removing the bolt and installing the fuel line properly, the unit fired right up.
