This is the second generator I purchase of the same brand and it has been the best investments I made. Also have the WGen9500and love them. They won't disappoint trust me. Great products. In time of an emergency you need something reliable and this brand is it and for the price you get more then what you asked for years to come.

After reading specs, reviews and ratings online, I chose the Westinghouse igen2200. Great efficiency, run time, quiet operation and price point! Had it for a week, following engine break-in recommendations. Starts on first pull, absolutely no issues. Very satisfied!

This is a great inverter generator. Just as light, quiet and reliable as a much more expensive major model I own. I am pairing two of the igen2200 and they easily handle our RV's air conditioner. We have two RVs, both 30 amp, one with a 15k a/c and the other a 13.5k. These two units easily handle the load without a soft start. I did try using the softstartup portable unit with just one of the inverter generators, but each a/c was too much for the setup.

I received this iGen2200 TODAY, the good part is myself and family actually needed this generator due to a hurricane blackouts this summer on the east coast. As soon as it arrived we put it to use and so far it is running my important equipment( i.e.frig freezer , nd wifi for my kids. I purchased this generator for this purpose and its working great. I am satisfied with my purchase of the iGen2200.

I have been looking for a small generator for camping, this one is quiet and compact. I couldn't justify the price of the other brand name model... put oil and gas in it, started right up. going thru break in period now. good reviews, Westinghouse has reputation. Happy with purchase so far...

I recently purchased the Westinghouse iGen 2200. I don't plan on handing in my "Man Card" but I was a bit worried about purchasing my first power generator mainly because I am not that mechanically inclined. First time start was very simple and easy! However, I have a couple of steps (after some research) that you should perform before your "First Startup!" (not in the manual) This will properly break-in your new generator. Step 1: Buy some oil conditioner(I got Marvel Mystery Oil), 5w 30 Full Synthetic(not blend)oil(because this oil handles extreme cold and extreme heat) and fuel stabilizer. Step 2: Before adding oil remove spark plug and pour a tiny tiny bit of the oil conditioner into the spark plug hole. Then VERY slowly pull the recoil handle 10 times(this lubricates the valve cylinder) Replace spark plug. Step 3: Pour slowly treated oil(do not over fill) Step 4: Add Gas(with fuel stabilizer) Step 5: Start your iGen 2200! Run for 1 hour(no load) Step 6: Drain the old oil and put fresh conditioned oil in. Run another hour(no load) Step 7: Repeat oil change a total of 3 times and run generator 1 hour after each oil change. I know it sounds like a lot to do but it is very easy and will extend the life of your generator. Mine is working FANTASTIC!!

Bought this as an emergency back up for a fridge or portable a/c unit. The break-in as suggested on-line is quite different from what the manual states. Did 2 oil changes at 20-30 min intervals adding a load after the first. Second one came out pretty clean. Filled for the third time and ran a few min before shutting down and putting away. I'll keep a gallon of the engineered gas in there as it is supposed to last up to two years. I'll do another oil change after I actually use it. First impression is it's relatively quiet, especially on eco mode, and compact enough to store just about anywhere. Fires right up. So easy I'm sure, if needed, I could talk my wife through start up too…and that's saying a lot!

The product was packaged very well and was easy to set up with the instructions provided. Filled her up with the provided oil and stabilized gas and started very easily on the first pull. After about 5 minutes I added a load just under max running watts and generator was able to maintain without issues. I was also surprised how quiet it runs even under load. So far I'm very happy with the purchase

I finally broke down and purchased this generator to be prepared for future hurricanes. I did a lot of online research and opted for this model. I followed the quick start guide and it started on the second pull. It's very quiet - as expected. Overall, my first impression is very positive. Great features and very easy to operate.

Ordered it for hurricane preps. Quick to set up and get running, easy to use. Great power output for running a sump pump or keeping the fridge cold. Compact size (about the size of a carry-on bag) makes it easy to store when not needed compared to a larger open-frame generator.
