Decided to finally breakdown and buy a generator for home/recreational use. After reading many reviews decided on the Westinghouse as many favorable ratings and reviews. Decided I didn't want to pay 2X more for a large brand name for something I would be using more on an occasional use. Simple instructions on getting it ready, came with oil and oil spout for easy fill, gassed it up, few pulls, started right up. Used it for an hour or so, plan on more use in the coming months. Would give 5 stars after more use experience with it but for now extremely happy.

Started up right away the first time. Relatively quiet compared to some neighbors during Hurricane Ian. Also very light. Just want it to run my refrigerator and maybe a light. Am planning on using ethanol-free gas to avoid problems and running it every month to keep things ready.

I'm skittish with gas and electricity, and I'm not mechanically inclined with equipment. So I was pleased to find that the instructions seemed fairly straightforward. I bought this in preparation for hurricane season to at a minimum, have power for fans at night, a small microwave and the USB ports. Thankfully, I haven't had to put it to the test yet.

Packaged well and arrived within 5 business days. Directions were clear as to adding oil and prepping to start for the first time. Very surprised at how quiet the unit is. Ran for 20 minutes without a load as specified. Will be working it hard this weekend to provide heat for hunting trailer. I will update if any problems.

Very pleased with this purchase. The iGen2200 is very quiet when running and even more so when in eco mode and generating only the power necessary to power the connected devices. Small and lightweight to carry for camping or anywhere really. Great value for the small investment.

I have a Honda 300is for our home that I mounted on out Casita trailer. At 130 lbs, it was too much tongue weight. The Westinghouse 2200 was just what we needed. Light weight, very quiet, portable, and a lot easier to work with. Enough to power our ac in the trailer and handle accessories as well.

We live near the ocean in Florida and are subject to power outages with big storms. We have a large Generator, but it's so difficult to get out and running. Plus the noise it makes has to irritate the neighbors. This model runs our frig and a small freezer so we don't lose any food from spoilage. And it's quiet!

This is a capable, affordable, well made machine. The best part is it starts easy and powers according to specs. Perhaps not starting on a single pull, but two pulls will do it. There are a few annoying things keeping me from giving this a 5 rating. 1) The side access panel must be removed using two phillips head screws. Assuming you want to check the oil frequently this is painful. I check my oil daily as the machine holds so little, missing even a little can be catastrophic. Consider using Thumb screws. 2) Changing the oil is cumbersome. The drail is also the fill hole so you need to tilt the machine and wait. Consider adding a drain plug to the bottom of the machine. 3) the Run/Off/Choke knob is too flimsy. I doubt it will last very long w/o breaking - but I can't say for sure.

I was surprised when first turning on the generator. The sound was quiet and I initially thought the "eco" but was on, but it was not! It was running full speed and was very quiet. Aside from the sound, the build quality with this generator is very good along with the fit & finish. With proper maintenance, this generator should last many, many hours.

Removed access plate with the included tools to access oil fil and inspected inside. Looks like a well-built generator. I read the directions to understand that it cannot get wet, so we have made arrangements to run it in a well-ventilated but protected space if the power goes out. I like the list of technical specifications that include the spark plug part number and the quantity of fuel and oil. This makes it easy to maintain. I expect that this is exactly the product I am looking for to support my in-laws should they lose power.
