we got are's on the 11of aug. and so far we have done what the book says we hooked up to are camper and they run everything j fine with them up against the house they run about 90dbbut we can still talk to each other we cant wait to go camping with them out at AEP

After in-depth research, I decided to purchase this unit and it's performance impressed me! Unit's first start after loading oil and fuel was on the third pull! Unit now starts on only one pull! Very minimal effort is needed to pull and unit is super quiet! I will definitely purchase another.

Consumer reports gave us a great review so I bought it. It is quiet as they say and that is the main feature that attracts me. It is great for charging small appliances although I can have a four line battery charger and one big item also running off it. I've only had it a couple days but it seems to be a great Generator.

The iGen2200 is working great so far. It quickly started up in about 2 pulls. It's relatively quiet. I have only run it for about 1 hour so far. It is able to power my gas furnace(~800W, 15amp). I had an electrician connect an EZ Generator switch to my breaker/furnace. I did ground it since it has a floating neutral and the electrician thought it might help based on what he was seeing for the power coming out of the generator. I decided to use an 8ft 5/8 copper grounding rod. The neutral connection on the back of the generator is small. I'm not sure what gauge wire they are expecting us to use. Since I am in the mid-west, I opted to use the 5w30 full synthetic for the oil during the colder months. I bought Stabil to add to the fuel (87 no ethanol) to make that last longer.

Finally able to use it and it is everything I was looking for in a wonderful inverter generator. Put on a small dolly so my husband can move around the property and run all the electric yard tools and perform the maintenance without using hundreds of feet of extension cords.

I just purchased this last week. Overall seems well built. First start it took ONE pull from the box - great start! Only reason I am not giving it a 5 star: I tried to run my 15 amp small air compressor and it kept tripping....I am assuming my compressor isn't taking more than 15 amps which what it is rated for. Also I would like to see a quick cover to remove to check the oil, rather than taking the large cover off that uses screws.

I need a generator that will run the air conditioner on my travel trailer and other electronic equipment and any single unit is too large and heavy for this person in his 70's to handle but this unit running in parallel works well and I can still handle the 50 pounds in two separate units. I was also quite pleased that after reading the user manual and putting in the oil and fuel the generator started on the first pull.

After researching which generator to buy for a long time I had narrowed my choice down to the 3 which would fill my needs the best. The final choice was easier than I thought it would be because the igen-2200 kept coming out on top in every catagory that mattered to me. I used it a few times before I made this review to make sure it lived up to my expectations. Well it sure did and I am happy with my purchase.

Although I haven't had time to actually use it, this review is about initial opionions (I know kind of lame but wanted to register). Looks great out of the box but I didn't like the fit of the cover over the spark plug compartment, doesn't fit well. All the rest seems good though. Need to add oil and gas to test but will do that soon.

I have an old style 3500W generator... very loud, and heavy to move around. Needed something better, and this iGen2200 was perfect. After adding the oil, it was easy to start. Had it running to break it in with very little gas, it ran for almost an hour! Not very loud, I will be able to run it at night without the neighbors hearing it. Now it gets stored for its inevitable use.
