The only take is the wooden block that had a crack once we received the set. Will call CS and hopefully they can solve this issue quickly. Self sharpening was an essential parameter through our research for a nice set, which is doing well so far.

The self sharpening block is the best thing since sliced bread. Every time you pull a knife from this block you're keeping the blade at its sharpest for the best cutting performance every single time you use it. This block has five useful knife profiles and a pair of shears. Stamped from German steel they are light weight yet sturdy due to the full tang of steel that runs through the full handle.

This set is such a great buy. German steel knives in a self sharpening block.....amazing. Its a complete set and the block is labeled clearly for each knife slot. The precision sharpener in the slots is made just for each knife keeping them at their best. The block is a nice color and not too large. Looks great on my counter.

I love that it sharpens each time when putting the knife back. I didnt have a sharpener before with my other knives so this makes it easier. I am also very happy to have kitchen scissors finally.
