This is an excellent cup of straight black coffee. Its not boxed on the tongue like many other brands. It enters and leaves your mouth nicely. It has a pleasant aroma and is not acidic or bitter at all. A good cup of black coffee. My pick of the litter!

I drink at least one cup of coffee, but usually two every morning. My favorites are Tully's French roast and Green Mountain's Sumatran Reserve.  The first because its a balanced all around bold flavor. However the flavor profile can be somewhat boring. I like the Sumatra because of its rich and earthy almost nutty flavor which can sometimes be a little too robust. Enter the Hawaiian blend. The label states "This blend is 10%Hawaiian and other Arabica beans". To me it is the perfect balance between a dark flavorful roast minus the sometimes bitter finish of a bold roast. I don't sweeten my coffee but do top it with frothed cream. For me this is well-balance, nutty but still bold and rich. Perfect!

It's funny, adding the Socially/Environmentally Conscious attribute and then using the K-Cups seems a bit of a contradiction, but I digress... Anyway, I bought this as a potential substitute for the Kona blends, of which I had a couple of different ones. I don't find that this one quite stacks up to the Kona blends I had. It's not quite as smooth in the middle nor long lasting at the finish. However, it does have layers to its flavors and a bit of that natural (not sugary) sweetness (almost nuttiness) that the Kona blends have. It is an Extra Bold variety, though a Medium roast. I'd say it's a tad on the darker side of medium, which I like. There's a hint of burnt flavor, which is why I say it's not as smooth as the Kona blends. The Hawaiian Blend does have similarities, so if you liked the Kona, this may do it for you, and it's a very good coffee on its own, but for me, it's a slight step down from the Kona blend.

I have these on auto ship because I love the flavor so much, however… the past few boxes have been tasting horrible!! I don’t know if they are using inferior beans due to lack of workers or what but it’s so bad that I’ll take a taste and run to my Keurig to check what pod I put in there! It’s TERRIBLE. If I’m lucky, I’ll get a few that taste like they should but if I’m paying for GOOD QUALITY coffee, then I EXPECT to get good quality coffee! I can buy store brand at any store to get this taste! YUK!! Ruins my morning! If you look forward to your first cup of coffee in the morning, this won’t do it for you anymore because they must be using different nasty tasting beans. Just my opinion.

I’m a fan of Tully coffees - especially their bright and citrusy Breakfast Blend. Because Keurig doesn’t offer 100% Kona, I went for this to see if it would be a replacement. But no. Sadly, it’s a nice, rich, smooth coffee but I get no Kona taste.

So, it's the 4th and I worked today, longer than I planned; then I get home have to spend 2 hours working on a major issue with some software...I finally fixed! And that's when I felt I deserve a nice cup of coffee, I wanted something different... Hawaiian or Rain Forest, I went with the Hawaiian Blend; Bold and Smooth. And my Keurig 2.0 gave me my reward in less than a minute...The Perfect Cup for a Lazy Sunday afternoon.

Tully's is my favorite Brand.... but, this one just didn't cut it for me as my morning coffee. Not enough boldness and seemed a bit off flavor. I will still recommend it to a friend because it got great reviews from others on here... Just wasn't for me.

Growing up in Seattle I have been very well educated and one of the first to experience gourmet coffee much earlier than allot of the country. Starbucks, Seattles Best, and many cart baristas from the 80's really set the bar until they started double pop roasting leaving most the blends with a thick, burnt taste...and then Tom Tully opened and was my savior! Kona was my favorite, however since the Kona harvest has left the market in high demand and thus it is never ins tock, I tried the Hawaiian and wow...just as good as the Kona! Smooth, bold, deep taste that is very enjoyable. Some have asked what the difference is..Kona is grown ON Kona, and Hawaiin is a blend from that incorporates other island crops as well. Simply Delicious!

I keep getting notifications it's available (anything larger than 12 pack), yet I go to buy and it's not available. Why bother sending me an email to buy it (and I want it), with no product available. How about letting me buy it and then just sending it when it is available clearing orders in the order in which they come it. Frustrated.....

Have ordered this coffee for a long time, but the last few orders are not bold. I thought maybe I just got a bad lot the first time I noticed this, but next shipment was the same. Either they are putting less coffee in the pod or just not the same quality. What a disappointment as I really liked this one.
