I have not used this dutch oven yet, but am very pleased with the style and overall appearance. I have several recipes that call for cast iron dutch ovens, I didn't want to have to season a pan and worry about rusting. This pan is excellent, will let you know how well I like it after I prepare a meal in it. It is extremely heavy but it has to be for oven cooking.

Originally purchased this item in the store and absolutely loved it. Great product at a great price. Saw it on line and purchased it as a gift for my daughter-in-law. She raved about it when she saw the one my wife had. We rotate "family nights" and this product is great for preparing meals for large groups. It is also very good looking besides practical.

I have been wanting one of these for years, but as others have said in their reviews I couldn't justify the price. When it went on sale $10 off the time was right! The first thing I made was chicken and dumplings. In my other pot, I had to cook them for a long time and add thickening to boot. This pot thickened my dumplings within an hour. At dinner, my husband tried them and asked me what I did differently (besides the new pot). I said nothing. The chicken and dumplings had a richer flavor somehow and were amazing! I LOVE it!!!

The Tramontina dutch oven is a beautiful piece. However .... I originally purchased the teal which is glossy, flawless and so beautiful, I had no hesitance to get one more in another color. I chose purple. It arrived pitted in various areas and rather dull. Sams efficiently arranged the return/ exchange. The second purple was worse, pitted both inside and out. Two strikes, I suspect the purple line is probably flawed in this way. Sams again efficiently arranged for the return / exchange, and this time I'm ordering cobalt blue. Fingers crossed!

I have wanted a cast iron pot for a long time, but they were just to expensive for the size I wanted. The price of this pot and the quality is tremendous. I have used it weekly since I got it and leave it on the stove all the time because it is just so beautiful. Mine is the blue and is the most vibrant cobalt blue.

It might be too soon to write a review (since I haven't used it yet) but I took a chance and ordered this dutch oven after lusting for them for many years. I could never bring myself to spend as much as the high end ones cost. Free shipping tipped the scale and I took the plunge. This pot is HEAVY. It's as heavy as the more expensive ones. The lid and handle are well made. The handle is screwed on. Although my kitchen has French red accents I chose the metallic one. It looks like a dark gray/pewter color. I love it. Can't wait to try it out soon.

I have had this dutch oven for a few years. It's my absolute favorite piece of cookware. I use it for everything. I bake bread in it. I make jelly in it and of course soups, stews and braises. I have bought one for my mother,sister and both daughters. They love it too. Now empty nested I would love for Sam's to offer a 4 quart version.

Saw this in store a few times and said I'll buy it another day. Last week I finally gave in. Best purchase ever. Tonight I made beef stew. This pot was perfect for searing the beef and slowly cooking the stew. It turned out so good. Pot has even heating. Nice sturdy and a lifetime warranty, can't go wrong for $40.

Great Product at a Great Price. All professional chefs use ceramic lined pots for most of their cooking, because they are the best for uniform heat, never fail performance. I know why! this lidded pot is perfect. Big enough for a whole chicken, large pot roast, making stock, soups +++. All steps can be accomplished in one pot, so I lose none of the flavours. I ordered this pot because I was in need of a great Dutch oven pot. I've never had one before. When I came across these pots I loved that there were plenty of colors to chose from. I ordered the yellow pot and received it two days later. I loved the color, and the weight. I already cooked in it and I LOVE IT. I want a few more sizes in this pot and every color. It cooks really good ..food doesn't stick. IM IN LOVE WITH IT
