Hi there,<br />I am so sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your unit. I would like to advise you that this unit works well with 22 or 23 gallon liners which can be purchased in the garden section of your local store. I have also attached a video link which demonstrates how to correctly use the liner ring as it should not take too much for the liner. <br />https://www.facebook.com/ninestarsusa/videos/1678197472447429/ <br />As for the smell and leaking, I do recommend using a gentle all-surface cleaner such as Mrs. Meyers, clean well and allow it to air dry.
