Best tires EVER!

I drive a small manual transmission car, which I love. What I never loved was that on wet roads, stopped at a light or a stop sign on an incline, my car would "slip" when I put it in gear. Not with my new Michelin A/S tires! NO SLIPPING! And they make driving on wet roads much more secure. These are the best tires I've ever owned and recommend them to everyone I know. All tires work on dry roads, but these make driving on rain-slicked roads or snow covered roads easier and safer.

Another set of Michelin's for Jim !

Been on Michelin's since college and have always had a great experience. Recommend them (and the local dealer) to anyone and everyone. This is a first for the Premier A/S's which went on this afternoon. A quick trip down to the store and all seems well. Quiet and responsive. Looking forward for years of excellent service.

Excellent cornering and absolutely no road noise

I recently replaced Goodyear on 2008 Lexus ES350. What a world of difference Michelin did to cutting road noise to whisper quiet and excellent handling n cornering. It did made my ride more enjoying experience. Fuel economy didn't make much of large difference though as I'm getting almost same mileage keeping all other things same. Highly recommended for a smoother ride.

The Premier A/S is everything I expected ...

I have a set of 4 Premier A/S tires on a 2013 VW Jetta TDI wagon. I replaced the O.E. of Continental Contacts at 55,000 miles. I was down to the last 2/32 on the Continentals before buying the Michelins. I am totally impressed with this tire. They handle well, they are quite and they perform well on normal road conditions. I ended up buying the Michelin Premier A/S tires after reading the technical info and product description as well as the customer reviews which were mostly positive. The final decision came down to price. When I went to buy tires the Premier A/S they were $20 per tire cheaper than the Michelin Primacy MXV4.

Lasted a while

Purchased a set of these in 2015 and put 80617 miles on them since I track total miles every time I get fuel. Mileage was in moderate climate with all weather and virtually all interstate highway (along I-66), maybe a few hundred miles outside of that. Decent performance in packed snow or ice a few years back, but I am a decidedly cautious driver on those surfaces. Need to replace them now as they're getting very low tread and a little slippery on wet surfaces although still performing well enough to easily drive at speed so long as substantial follow distance is given.

Confident Handling and Treadwear As Advertised

These came on the car when I bought it used, and I'm not sure how many miles they had then. But I've put 60,000 on them and they could easily go another 5k or 7k more. I kept them rotated and balanced every 5k or 6k miles, and I've had no issues. As for drive quality, they do very well in wet conditions. It is a firm riding tire so you will feel more connected to the road. As always, the more confident handling comes at the price of a soft ride.

Poor tread life

I bought a set of tires 4 years ago. I felt these tires had better traction in rain, snow, and ice compared to the Michelin Defender which I previously had on this car. However, tread life was awful. I have fewer than 30,000 miles on my car and the tread is dangerously low. Very disappointed in the quality of this tire.

Bad tread wear

bought these over a competitor brand due to reputable name even though these were more expensive. i was expecting to get 6 years or 60,000 miles out of them, but 3 years & 35,000 miles later, i'm needing to find new tires again. I had thought i would have gotten more out of them, but not so.

Very good so far

Two weeks ago we put on 4 new Premier tires to replace the <4/32s worn Primacy MXV4s on our 2012 Toyota Camry XLE. The installer could have still gotten Primacys but advised us to go with Premiers since if there was ever a need to replace a single Primacy they would not be available. I'd had concerns about the 8.5/32s new tire tread depth on the Premiers, but they pointed out the tires have sipes that both appear during tread wear and go down fully to under 2/32s which other tires don't have. We average over 15k mi/year on this car with a 60/40 balance of highway/city miles. So far in over 1600 miles of mostly freeway driving I am very satisfied with the Premiers. Mine are NOT noisy as some have complained about. Handling is excellent; I've only had 30 miles of driving in heavy rain but they did fine. I've noticed a very slight degradation in gas mileage almost not measurable but it may be down a few percent (normally get right at the Toyota EPA 35 mpg on the freeway and it's varied from around 37 with a tail wind to 32 the past 2 tanks which seems a bit low based on conditions). I will reserve judgement on winter handling and see if I can add to this review in December after our first real midwest snows. I am still concerned I'll get 60k miles but hope to get at least 50k depending on the time of the season treadwear drops under 4/32s.

Worst Michelin Tire I Have Ever Owned

I have been purchasing Michelin Tires for all of my vehicles since 1980. The Premier A/S has been the worst performing Michelin tire that I have owned. They have been rough riding and one tire had a belt to slip and was replaced after about 5K to 6K miles. I currently have another tire or two that is/are causing the car to vibrate. My tire dealer has been exceptional in trying to find the cause of the problem(s) and we know it's not the rims. The Premier line is lacking much in comparison to the Primacy line of tires that I have had on my other vehicles.
