Nice change of pace

We buy this about once a month. It's something we would never make at home from scratch, so this makes it possible. Flavor is a little sweet, but also spicy. Overall, we really like it. We cook and serve over riced cauliflower instead of rice because it's healthier. With the extra sauce it turns out great

AMAZING!!!!

My entire family enjoys this dish and it literally takes me 12 minutes to make. I make this with a homemade fried rice. The teenagers go mad for it. Best part about it...I can pop it in the air fryer before I start frying the rice and they both get done at the same time.

It's a shame

I wasn't expecting amazing or even relatively close to good orange chicken, but I expected whoever came up with this to know what ballpark the sauce should be in. I was hoping for an easy and relatively cheap (certainly not cheap enough) way to go. I will never buy it again. I am currently forcing myself to finish the last of the box as to not be wasteful, but if I didn't have financial reasoning not to, they'd be in the trash.

Better than expected -- sauce is strong

I didn't read the box carefully when I purchased this and was pleasantly surprised that it was two separate bags of chicken, each with a sauce pouch. Each bag is plenty for about 3 adults if you serve it with rice and a small salad or some other veggie. The chicken is a mixture of large, medium, and smaller pieces. Cooked it on foil in the toaster oven and gave it extra time to get super crispy. The sauce has good flavor, but the amount was overpowering when we used the whole pouch. I recommend no more than half at first if you're going to toss the chicken and sauce together, increasing to your taste. It's more tangy and less sweet than take out Chinese. This is quite decent for a quickie dinner.

More batter than chcken.

This is not the same product as a few years ago. The pies vary from 1/4 inch to 2 inches. the small pieces are all fried batter and the large pieces are half batter. I you want something that resembles a corn dog but is half batter you may like it.

Just so so

The good things are, the chicken batter is crunchy and it does appear to be all white meat. Tastes just okay, but really doesn't have much taste. They do not give much sauce AT ALL. Might have been worth the money if it had enough sauce to really cover the chicken. I probably won't be buying it again. Not really that good.

Orange chicken

I am surprised by this Asian dish. Normally, when I get an Asian dish, that is already made, and just needs to be reheated, it's not the greatest thing. But, this is actually not bad at all. Now, this is coming from a person who has had some of the greatest Asian chef's in the world, making many of the dishes, that I have had from several different restaurants from Las Vegas, Reno, Florida, Ohio, New York, Canada, and so many other state's here in the US and Canada. I didn't even know it, until my family got to know the owner of the favorite Asian restaurant that we used to go to frequently. But, their 3 chef's, happened to be the #1 & #2 Thai chef's in the world, and they also had the #2 & #3 Chinese chef's in the world, working in the kitchen. The owner is from Asia, I believe that he was Chinese, but I could be wrong about that. He and his wife immigrated to the state's back in the early 80's and they started the restaurant, until they were broken into and the wife was the only person who ran the register, and even though it happened while nobody was there, she ended up having severe anxiety attacks, when someone would walk in, that she hadn't seen before. So, they closed the doors and left, for her health, due to her anxiety disorder, fearing, that whoever did it, would have come back, when they were there. But, when they were open, they had ambassadors and such, from the East coming there, because of their reputation and how they had some of the greatest chef's there. And, with that said, this Orange Chicken is about the equivalent to the average Chinese restaurant level. And, you do get a lot of it in the package. Granted, I will suggest getting some extra Orange sauce for it and if you like the sauce in the rice, as well.

Excellent and Convenient

Chicken is fresh and tender with a light batter. As said in another review, the sauce is tangy and good. The package is split into 2 packages---about 2 1/2 servings each with rice---and the sauce comes separate so you can drizzle, dip or use something different. I just put another box in my cart. Excellent.

Don't know if I can eat it

Here it says there is honey in it, on the box it is nowhere listed. Is there honey or not? I have family that cannot eat honey and other things like garlic and onions. Also the vague "spices" on the list isn't helpful at all. Does it have onions or garlic? Food manufacturers need to be more forthcoming with the ingredient list for people who have food intolerance, gastrointestinal disorders, or allergies.

Quick meal

I purchased this along with the fried rice in order to have a quick meal on our busiest days. Cooks very well in the air fryer and the sauce is actually good. But its not orange its more sweet and sour sauce. One of my children don't like it because it is so sour, so usually I have to mix in some chilli oil or some spice to balance it out. This isn't something you can eat a lot of because it becomes overwhelming sweet. But if you have other spices/sauces, its easier to mix into other flavors and make it not as sweet. I will buy again but only monthly, not a weekly item.
