312CR-485SAMUS 1.45 ZINC AIR Hearing Aid Batteries

The difficulty level of opening up the 312CR-485SAMUS 1.45 ZINC AIR Hearing Aid Batteries is off the charts. Hearing aid batteries typically last one week and to require a scissors to access them each time is a totally unnecessary obstacle. I am a strong and fit man and can only imagine how frustrating it can be for an elderly person with weak or arthritic hands. Honestly, the current packaging design to access the batteries is quite inconsiderate and illogical as a large percentage of consumers who would require these batteries are elderly. I actually dread going to the package and fighting it each time I need to replace my batteries. With that said, based on the packaging alone, I’ll never order these batteries again(the product itself is fine).

Why?

As many others have said, these are much too difficult to remove from packaging. Regular scissors wouldn't cut through the packaging for me. I had to use scissors specifically for cutting through hard thick plastic packaging. I'm sure the majority of purchasers are older, and like myself, could have arthritis or dexterity issues, and it's much too hard and time consuming to get the batteries out.

We are sorry for your experience with the battery packaging, Deb. Please know the packaging was updated to follow Reese’s Law, mandating all button, coin, and hearing aid batteries – and devices powered by those batteries – be contained in child-resistant packaging. We understand the challenge in first opening the packaging but believe once members become more familiar with how it works the easier it becomes to open.

Impossible to open

I bought these for my dad. We read the other reviews about how difficult they were to open but figured they couldn't be that difficult. Well they are. You need to cut the plastic to open them causing all the batteries to fall out defeating the purpose of the convenient case. My dad does not recommend them and suggests paying a little extra for the other batteries.

Terrible packaging--better find your scissors!

Absolutely terrible implementation. You have to cut open each battery from its compartment. Completely unacceptable to have to hunt down scissors every time a hearing aid battery needs changing. Did nobody in quality control try these out themselves in real life? Will be returning these and hope to get the older packaging.

Packaging is awful

I've used these for a long time. Will no longer buy due to packaging.
