We are sorry for your experience with the battery packaging, Sandi. Please know the packaging was updated to follow Reese’s Law, mandating all button, coin, and hearing aid batteries – and devices powered by those batteries – be contained in child-resistant packaging. We understand the challenge in first opening the packaging but believe once members become more familiar with how it works the easier it becomes to open.

Hard to open.

These are extremely difficult to open. The childproof is also elder proof.

Lousy package

The batteries themselves are about what is expected on hearing aid batteries. The packaging STINKS!!! As others have pointed out, these are truly miserable to get out of the packaging. After cutting them with scissors, you still have to pry apart the very sharp and stiff plastic to get the batteries out. I am very tempted to get all of the batteries out and put them in a plastic baggy in my purse for when I need new batteries. My batteries always seem to die when I am out and about and no where near a pair of scissors.

Childproof Packaging Is Nearly Impenetrable

Each tiny battery has to be cut out separately from the extra thick heavy duty steel packaging, I mean plastic packaging. It was extremely hard to cut through. I found it very difficult and time-consuming. Plus, it left a big mess of sharp little transparent (nearly invisible) shards of plastic to gather up for the trash. I hope I got all the pieces that flew onto the floor. Childproof packaging is one thing, this packaging is utterly ridiculous. If you're buying these for your elderly mother, don't even bother! (...unless you have half an hour or so to cut the batteries out of the packaging for her.)

Horrible Packaging!

I don't know who approved this packaging but they obviously do not wear hearing aids! Each individual battery must be cut open and regular scissors will not do the task, utility scissors must be used. Then once you have the pie shape cut, the battery does not just fall out, you must use another tool, we used a knife, to get the battery out of the package. If we could return these, we would but since we've opened them, I'm assuming we cannot. I would not recommend purchasing due to packaging. Come on Sam's, do better!

Terrible package

Terrible packing, you have to use scissor to cut each battery out of the package. Who carries a pair of scissor in their vehicle? I usually keep some extra batteries in my console, so if I'm traveling, and my batteries need to be changed. I won't be buying these again unless the packaging is changed. SAM'S you better listen to your members feedback.
