Needs scissors to get to batteries!!!

I bought 3 packs of the Members Mark hearing aid batteries. When I was at a concert I needed to replace my batteries. The packaging is horrible. I found out that you have to use a pair of scissors to get the batteries out of the pack. I know it says "child resistant" but it is also people resistant. I am bringing back the other packages that have not been opened. I don't care if it is cheaper. I want to be able to quickly get out two batteries without the use of scissors!!! These packs are not like the regular brands that you can snap the bottom wedge out and then just turn the wheel to get the batteries. Bad marketing!!!

We are sorry for your experience with the battery packaging, Elaine. Please know the packaging was updated to follow Reese’s Law, mandating all button, coin, and hearing aid batteries – and devices powered by those batteries – be contained in child-resistant packaging. We understand the challenge in first opening the packaging but believe once members become more familiar with how it works the easier it becomes to open.

The batteries are almost impossible to get out of the wheel. Members Mark much make it easier to get the batteries out.Ever with my big sturdy scissors, I still have a hard time getting them out. I have arthritis in my hands and they hurt when I try to get them out.

Good luck

Batteries are fine Price is right! Package is beyond awful! Supposed to be a carry type package which is fine - but you can't open it unless you have scissors or a knife. I miss the previous maker that had them in cardboard push through access. Who ever designed this package obviously never tried opening one

the packaging is for the safety of our babies.

People are here complaining about how hard it is to open these packages but when you have kids and pets that are very curious…this packaging is the best line of defense. To open this package a use a thin sharp blade to cut just enough to weaken the package or use a flat nail clipper that’s how I help myself. I’m 48 I am hard of hearing and maybe the people that give it one star or not happy with this product packaging may be older than me and I understand.

Deceptive packaging

This is absolutely the worst packaging ever for an elderly person. You need a bolt cutter to get the battery out of the blister pack. The package is also deceptive. It looks like a name brand package that is easy to manipulate without using tools. You don't find out until you get it home that you have been suckered.

I see all the complaints about the packaging and agree. I try to open all 6 from the package and store in a baggie. I’m concerned that the batteries drain outside of the packaging and my search online agrees with that. I guess besides a safeguard, they sell more batteries!!

Challenging

The packaging is unacceptable. I know that there have been serious injuries and death of children with various small batteries. But, you surely can come up with something better than this. People that wear hearing aids tend to be elderly and not as desirous as they once were. It takes tools, dexterity, strength and patience to free the batteries from the container.

Took 20 minutes 2 open packages 2 remove batteries

I always purchased hearing aid batteries at Sams and was pleased. Not anymore!! This packaging is way too difficult to open!!! Each plexi- plastic round needs to be sliced and cut in order to have batteries drop out. Ridiculous! There's no spin to revolve each battery to its open hole and then to fall out. How could the older people do this? Please bring back former design of rotating battery to an open spot to remove!

Poor packaging.

The batteries are fine - so far. However, the packaging is horrible. Each battery is incapsulated in a bullet proof plastic jacket that cannot be opened by a healthy human (except for hearing loss). After fighting it for 10 minutes to open one battery I resorted to using scissors to cut along each side of the battery to get it out. Bad design.

TERRIBLE Packaging, Worse Than the Cardboard.

I saw the response about enhanced packaging. The card board packaged 312 batteries serve as enhanced packaging. The clear clam shell packaging is WAY BEYOND ENHANCED. Please tell us how to cut and open the packages. There is a statement on the package "Cut Here". No instructions or further directions. There is no apparent place marked to cut shown on the package. Extra heavy duty scissors and a strong husband could not cut it. Access is possible only by prying a table knife between the two "clam shells" and twisting until it sort of opens. The appearance of the packages look like the very usable spin and drop dispensers made by other brands. THIS IS NOT THAT. Don't be fooled. These are not only child proof, they are user proof as well.
