Customer reviews for SAMSUNG 70" Class TU700D-Series Crystal Ultra HD 4K Smart TV UN70TU700DFXZA forEXCELLENT TV!
Love this tv - beautiful picture and easy to download apps - smooth quick set up aa it connected immediately with our wireless and Directv remote - gone are the days of entering codes and all those wires - would be nice to have more HDMI ports but I have an adapter that adds 3 ports anyway - perfect size for the living room and you feel like you're right there when watching the game - of course, our first movie to watch was the original Star Wars and the picture & sound were magnificent - highly recommend this tv for the size and price!

Hi CallMeCarl, We are sorry to hear that your Samsung TU7000 TV is no longer working after two years. Samsung prides itself on high-quality products and a great customer experience. Please know we are here to help you. If your TV has a black screen even when it's on, it's quite possible it could actually be your external device and not your TV. Please try these troubleshooting steps for your blank screen issue: 1. Press the Home button on the remote. If the menu appears, the TV is powered on but is either not on the correct source or not receiving a signal. If the menu does not appear, the TV may be having power issues. Check the red standby light, a little red light at the edge of the TV that you aim the remote at. In normal use, the red standby light is on when the TV is off (indicating the TV is on standby), and the red standby light is off when the TV is in use (or doesn't have power). 2. Confirm the TV is set to the same source as the external device. For instance, if your cable box is connected to HDMI 1, set the TV source to HDMI 1. If the TV is set to the correct source but there is still no image, unplug and reconnect the AV connections one cable at a time from both ends of each cable. If there's any damage to the cable, it will need to be replaced. After you've reconnected the external device, turn it off and then back on. 3. Test the HDMI cable. Some TVs have an HDMI cable test. Some models only have this test after a software update, and older models do not have it. If your model does not have this test or is not connected by HDMI, skip to the next step. The test is designed for HDMI cords less than 6 feet long and may not give accurate results on longer cords. To perform the test, make sure the TV's source is still on the HDMI setting for the cable you want to test, and then navigate to Settings > Support > Self Diagnosis > Signal Information > HDMI Cable Test > Start Test. If the test says, the cable is bad, replace the cable. Service is not required. 4. Test different external devices. The final thing to rule out is the external device you're using. Try connecting a different device or using a different source port. If you were unable to test the cable in the previous step, then try swapping the cable, too. If the TV can display a picture in any other setup, then you've ruled the TV out as the cause of the issue. Keep trying various setups until you identify the device or cable that is not working and troubleshoot or replace it. If you continue to have issues, please give us a call so we can troubleshoot further with you. Contact us at 1-800-SAMSUNG, 8 AM - 12 AM EST, seven days a week. 4 stars all day
it is extremly hard for me to give 5 stars for anything because everything can be improved on and this 7 series samsung is no different. it is a great tv and setup is fairly easy but i have to agrree with others that the remote needs some improvement. first the instuctions constantly refer to the ok button and there is not an ok button so trial and error places it between the 4 directional arrows. the apps don't function as they should upon the inital setup. there are many features that samsung needs to examin in that area. the set is a great set and the 65” that i got has a really good, not great picture. i do not regret my purchase and other than the remote i'm happy with my purchase.
Disappointing
picture is good. software/interface is a huge disappointment. i was hoping to not have to use a box of any kind but will have to go back to apple tv. the smart hub is so bad that when you turn the tv on it will only default to their smasung channels which blasts some nonesene game shows or bad tv. i use youtube tv for programmining and have to go in and load each time which is slow. app tiles are small and hard to distinguish which app is highlighted. i have a tcl with roku tv that was cheaper, runs faster, has a much better interface with infinately more configuration, etc. really expected more from samsung. i just picture a group of design people sitting around a presentation of this “smart hub” interface and being impressed enough to approve it....wow.

Another great Samsung TV
This is a second TV also a Samsung like my first. After what I'm used to with these TVs I will always buy a samsung. Last year before I bought my first Samsung TV I went with a cheaper brand and there were so many problems with it as well as the screen was not as vivid as samsung. Not only a wonderful picture but the fact that it has the internet TV Plus with a bunch of channels on it there is so much to watch between that and my cable. Samsung is only a few dollars more than those cheap TVs and it's a world of difference.
Glitching
we bought this about 2 weeks ago and it was working great but for no apparent reason, the TV volume is going crazy, the volume goes all the way up to 100 and stays there. When we try to turn it down and release the volume button it automatically goes up to 100. We troubleshooted it by unplugging it, and reseting it to factory settings and we made sure it was in fact not the remotes by removing the batteries. This is really upsetting.

Why must it have 2 legs?
Great TV, but why do all tvs now have 2 legs that are very far apart from each other? We do not have room for a bigger piece of furniture. The TV is less than an inch wider than our old one, but needs a TV stand 4 inches wider, since it changed from a central base to two legs. Is it for increased stability? If it is, Samsung, and all other companies, for that matter, did not think through all the angles. SOME PEOPLE DON'T HAVE INFINITE SPACE! if we get a bigger TV stand, we can't enter the kitchen without going outside. Please stop requiring bigger furniture to fit the same size tv.

Great Price and Horrible Picture
I was really excited to get this TV, But after we got it installed, all of that went out the window. The picture quality was really bad, I would say it's the worst I have seen and we own 4 other samsung TV. So I decided to return it and get another model in a higher series. This was my experience with it.
Great Feature and Responsiveness
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my TV for streaming movies and playing video games. I love it for both purposes. It has been excellent and I recommend the TV to anyone looking for a large screen. Pros: Great Picture Great Software Cons Screen Brightness is not relatively high enough NEEDS MORE HDMI INPUTS. It is so stupid they only give you two now.

Beautiful Picture
Picture is really sharp. We were surprised that there are TV channels included. Easy to add apps and set up.
