It is just using the WIFi feature and you would swear that it was hooked up to cable because the picture is just as clear or better than being hooked to cable. I don't have a paid stream service. There are plenty of free streams you can watch and I have Peacock because I do have cable. I also use it sometimes to get on Facebook. I have a cordless mouse and keyboard for it which makes it easy to use the internet. It really is a great TV.

It's quite nice to be able to control it with my Samsung phone. And it was able to use my phone to connect to the Wi-Fi seamlessly. I have been very busy with my purchase.

After hooking up my other devices, the functionality was that much easier to navigate. Once connected with the wireless service, I was amazed with all that I could do with it. Our Roku stick decided to die but the smart apps on the TV have kept us going. The only complaint we have is that a few of the Samsung TV apps don't function properly - like on NBC shows will just stop playing. Overall, a quality TV and you would never guess that its a few years older model.
