My last one lasted more than 10 years and I only bought this one because it's smart and gets Netflix and Prime Video. The overall picture is fantastic, great color and detail. The sound at 20 watts not so good so I bought a Samsung 200 watt soundbar. Wish they included better sound but now I have a great pic and sound and hope this TV will last as long as my last. Great price too! I bought this for my office to be my primary work display. It is crisp and clear when mirroring my laptop display. And when not in use for work it performs excellently with its native playback of netflix, disney+, amazon, and appletv content. In addition the integration with my PS4, Firestick 4k are also a nice plus. We have a 2018 65 inch version upstairs in the game room. This tv is all the quality and value I have come to expect with Samsung. I have 4 Samsung tv's in the house and 2 sony. Both have been excellent brands but Samsung has been the leader in my mind for years because the feature to dollar value has been more in almost any case. This tv had 3 HDMI inputs, which the Sony only had 2 that was in the same class and price. So I once again chose the Samsung. Produces low to no heat output, ultra thin bezel framing of the picture, and light weight. Great sound for built in sound, but still recommend a small soundbar for office spaces, full soundbar or surround companion for living room use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We installed this TV almost 3 months ago (replacing a dead 15-year-old flat panel) and it's been a great upgrade for our Maine cottage. The guided setup made installation very easy, the picture quality is great (especially for the price), and we love the fact that we can control it using Alexa (via our Echo Dot linked through Samsung's Smarthings app).One thing we *don"t* like; the remote buttons are not back-lit, so its hard to use in the dark -- a minor annoyance since we can use Alexa to turn it on/off, raise/lower the volume, change channels.Recommended it twice already and both friends are happy with theirs too!

overall, we are happy with our samsung tv. it makes viewing much more pleasant and dynamic than our previous 10 year old tv. the color and crispness of the picture are excellent. the sound is good, but we are considering buying external speakers to give us an even better experience. our greatest complaint would be side viewing picture quality. resolution begins to fade immediately as you move left or right.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Picture is super clear, it's almost a 3D experience. Great user interface to go back and forth between Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, etc... Also the Samsung TV I find to offer more apps than Roku so no need to continue that account. For example HBO max is available but not on Roku. Can't wait to add more Samsung's in other rooms.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family uses this TV on a daily basis for live streaming, local programming, movies galore, sports and internet! I decided on the 82” mainly for sports viewing of course! It was an easy choice because I already have 4 other Samsung TV's in the house. Samsung has always delivered on quality for me. The 82” is in your face when watching sports and that is what I was looking for! I wanted to feel like I was at the game and that's what I get out of this TV! Thanks Samsung!!!

i watch television shows and movies and i'm very pleased with the quality of the picture. i enjoy the added features as well. however; it seems to have problems when there are dark scenes on the screen, the picture gets too dark to see well. and, as i'm 70, learning how to use the remote to get to and utilize all the features, without a manual, is being a real challenge. overall, i am happy with the television.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased two to replace older Vizio TV's that were not smart...wanted 4K and smart built in to make streaming easier...we are pretty loyal to Samsung TV's...had a 75" QLED and replaced with an 82" QLED...also have an older 43" Plasma...originally purchased two LG, had a better sale price and a good picture but strangely the LG did not allow the ESPN streaming app so we returned and got these two Samsung...great picture...great for TV and gaming...great for streaming...the TV menu sucks...overly detailed and not intuitive...3 or 4 not clear menu choices just to simply turn on the sleep timer...a more straight forward menu...more straight forward remote with a LIGHT button to backlight the remote and this would be a 100% TV...

I figured it would fail to meet some of my expectations but it turned out to all work perfectly. No more need for an external AppleTV unit and everything works right away, all the time (DirecTV, Netflix, YouTube, Prime, device-projection, etc).

Thank you samsung . The sound is loud and with an additional soundbar it would be even louder like a Movie theater .
