Great Product Too Expensive

Lots of black shelled sunflowers and white millet. I was buying this product monthly till they raised the price by $10.00! It was $19.99 but now is $29.99. Also their is waste if you don't have birds, like me that don't like white millet, but if you have Doves or even Chickens, they will eat the white millet! It is a good product, you do get alot of seed, but had to knock some stars off for such a huge price increase. If you can afford it, or find it on sale, then I recommend it!

No Raisins!!

I've been buying this birdseed for years, except for one other time, I've always been happy with it. As of the last bag, the price had gone up considerably. Okay, I will deal with that since I love my wild birds. Then that expensive bag I'd ordered got here, ALMOST ALL MILLET SEED, very little sunflower seed, and NO RAISINS!!! When I say no raisins, I mean Zero, Zilch, not a single raisin!! A total rip-off, especially for the huge increase in price.

Great

I agree with the reviewer who can't understand why people woudn't like this. I have bought lots of different bird food and yes I like the Morning Song brand, however, I feed birds. I have six feeders and small bags are not an option. This has great seed, not filler. I had been buying sunflower seed separately and adding; there is no need to do that with this brand. Kudos to Sams and the Valley Spendor Co. Yeah!

Verified Purchase

My birds wont eat this seed!

Bought 3 bags of this due to the awesome price. I had full feeders but no birds after the first couple days. Tried to wait it out assuming theyre birds theyll eat it if theyre hungry right? No. They will not. Its been a 2 week battle and i finally broke down and bought the old food. And my birds are back. This seed really does have a odd smell to it. Like old raisins. Or maybe spoiled wine. The sunflower seeds are very small. And honestly the quality wasnt that good. One of the few sams purchases i am disappointed with.

Mostly millet and Black Oil Sunflower

This item does NOT state there is millet in the mix. It states sunflower seed, peanuts and raisins. I did not find any raisins at all. I put it out in one of my feeders to see how it would do. The woodpeckers go after it because of the peanuts, but I watched them spit out the rest of the food. It is a waste in my mind and the seeds that will end up in my garden below are guaranteed to make a lot of weeds. The price is great, but I can't say anything else good about it. I would not have purchased it because millet usually attracts blackbirds as well and we have too many of them around. Very disappointed and think they should state ALL the ingredients.

Skip this poor quality feed.....

Last year Sam's had a great black sunflower seed that attracted a wide variety of birds. That pure 'cherry' sunflower seed was replaced by their house brand of inferior seed. The few birds that still come to my backyard pick out the few sunflower seeds, and leave the small gravel like pellets that seem to make up the majority of this mixture. Will be finding a better source of bird feed - luckily found a local feed store with pure sunflower bird feed.

If you like millet seed this is for you!

Up to 7 years ago I bought this seed and loved it. Then we moved to a location where a Sam's Club wasnt near so I stopped buying it. We then moved back to CA. Fast forward to today when I opened it only to find it was 90% Millet, 9% sunflower seed in the shell and 1% fruit and nuts. This seed is awful and Sam's Club quality control needs to toss all the bags they have on stock or reword the description so members will know they are getting. I will gladly send pictures if needed.

The Birds Do Not Eat The Food!

I have always purchased Pennington Bird food which has been quite popular with a variety of birds. Typically there are at least 15-30 birds at my 4 feeders throughout the day. The Member's Mark Supreme Blend Wild Bird Food was on sale, so I thought I would try it. Big mistake! All 4 feeders have been untouched for over one week. I even scattered some seed on the ground but even the squirrels aren't eating it!

Marginal

I checked this product out in the store after seeing the favorable reviews. From what I could see, I am not impressed. I realize the price is economical but the seed itself is not what I call 'Supreme' at all. It looked dirty/dusty, in fact. Very little nuts nor fruit but a heckofalot of millet which is not very popular here and very small sunflower seeds (many broken up) After feeding wild and domestic birds for decades, I passed on this. There are much better blends available.

Contains Raisins.....poison to dogs

I really loved this seed until I realized it has raisins in it. I have dogs and the birds toss the seed to the ground. My dogs will eat it off the ground. (I was surprised but they do all 3 of them and different breeds so be cautious) Raisins will kill a dog so I will no longer be purchasing this bird seed. Please be aware if you own dogs.
