No problem using it for baking or a coffee sweetener. But, I noticed the cloudiness of a batch of Hummingbird food and before hanging them I looked up this sugar on a Google search. Basically it's unrefined and contains other trace minerals such as iron which is toxic to hummingbirds. Use only Refined White Granulated Sugar in your feeders... 1 cup sugar to 4 cups boiling water.

The sugar is good but not when they pack it in a box with other things that cause the bag to tear then I have to drive 90 miles to the store to return it?

I've been buying this sugar for a long time, and unfortunately, it's just not the same anymore. Since production moved to the USA, the quality and taste have noticeably changed. It used to have a richer, more distinct flavor, but now it tastes like plain refined white sugar. The depth and character it once had are completely gone. I was really disappointed because this used to be my go to, but it no longer stands out from cheaper, generic options. I truly hope they consider going back to the original formula and quality.
