We purchased this for delivery to our house in FL, on Memorial Day, 2021. We did not live here permanently until August 2022.
We could not be happier with our 2 twin-XL mattresses, which together make a king bed. The beds are hooked together somehow. This took us less than 15 minutes to put together - it’s already in one (2 for king) folded pieces. All he did was plug in the attached motors, programmed the remotes, screwed the height adjusters together - we used all three, and he was done.
The bed has 2 massage functions with 3 speeds. Each remote can be individually set so we don’t disturb each other.
We both love the tv tilt function. The top of the mattress raises up and forward - no need for extra pillows to watch tv.
I had a spinal fusion in 12/2022. The massage function felt so good.
We have the Dreamcloud 14” hybrid mattresses, and have no problems. There are 2 USB ports on each side, up by the top of the frame. I found them to be slow. There are 2 memory settings for each side. The only thing missing, is a continuously lighted remote. As soon as you press any button, it immediately comes on though, so I guess that’s all it needs to do.
Some frames have a blue light under the frame, to light your way to the bathroom. They cannot be turned off. No thanks. I need total darkness. So it’s good the remote is not continuously lit.
This also comes with legs that screw together, so you can adjust the height of the base.
Oh, and it does fit inside of our Ethan Allen wooden bed frame!! Of course, there is no need for the 10-12 wooden slats. The rest of the bed was assembled around the frame by DH.
I cannot say enough good things about this frame!! After my surgery was when I realized there are 3 different massage speeds on the top - mid-chest area, and the legs. I used the leg massage on the ‘roughest’ speed, which felt great, to try and prevent blood clots. It must have worked!
This bed is made of solid steel. I expect a long life. The reason we went with this frame, is after going to multiple mattress firms, we realized that unless you were getting a Tempur-Pedic, all the frames were ‘no-name’. This fact plus Sam’s backing, relieved our minds when purchasing something so different than anything we had before. Also, the ‘tv tilt’ feature was expensive in the mattress stores. It’s included here.
One salesman gave me a good tip - when putting the fitted sheets on each piece, put the head and foot all the way up. Put on the sheet. Flatten the bed, and the sheet is sucked into place.
The steel bar at the bottom, keeps the mattress in place, but definitely makes it difficult to tuck the top sheet and blanket in.
