Arrived with no damage. Easy instructions. Need two people due to weight, but completed set up in 12 hours. Exactly want we wanted. Nice height. We sit out on deck a lot as we live on waterfront property. Nice shade, can open if needed.

Nice product , took the wife and I about 8 hours to put this together , the temperature was in the 90’s. The instructions are easy to follow and you won’t be disappointed. Just buy it !

I absolutely love it The added ability to open and close The top Gives me a lot of versatility When I want to let in some sunshine and breeze. It’s both beautiful and functional.

The best pergola and/or gazebo I've ever put up with my son! Installed on 5/30/26, only took 4 hours with 2 people! Very heavy duty, I would change anything about it. My only criticism would be for you to add at the beginning of the instructions “determine where you want the louver mechanism” so they can determine where to start with the first post. Can anyone tell me what the metal fold out shelf is on the electrical box? Is it a shelf for cell phones? Missing a few rubber nubs that go on the end of the louvers, how can I get more? So great, so heavy duty….I'm extremely happy and so is my family and pets for shade!!!! Has anyone installed roll up/down shades? If so and you like end result, can you reply with what brand?

I purchased this pergola and the installation. It was installed in June 2026. I am very happy with the pergola. It's providing protection and privacy in my very small, open back yard. I needed something that will withstand high winds along with lots of snow. Walter and his son installed the pergola, and they did a great job. I've only had the pergola a short time, but I feel this will be one of my best decisions regarding my home.

I bought this pergola 10 months ago. I installed it myself in a day with the help of my grandson. Installation was fairly simple and instruction manual is very helpful. Make sure to follow steps as installig some parts out of oreder can mean taking it back apart. Love the louvered roof as you can enjoy the outdoors when weather is good and stay covered in wet or hot conditions. Only problem I have dad is with the power strip that comes with it. Love the convenience of plug-in availability but it is not working after 8 months.

Less than a month after my pergola installation I noticed many anchor bolts connecting it to my concrete patio were broken off. My installer & myself questioned the strength of the bolts before installing, they were definitely not what you'd expect to use in securing the pergola to concrete. I had to purchase concrete blocks to put on the 4 pole flanges in case of bad weather. Hopefully, we can find better grade concrete anchors. I love the pergola, but am skeptical about it withstanding a North Dakota winter.

Just had it delivered yesterday and got almost halfway thru the assembly today and hit a dead end due to missing parts. I am missing the gutter splices, 2 of them. I have this scattered all over my yard in the middle of assembly and not happy. I hired someone to help as well and can’t complete job. I called the number provided for missing parts and since it is the weekend they can’t get parts out until Monday hopefully

The pergola arrived quickly and looked beautiful once assembled. We have now owned it for one year. Unfortunately, it is constructed of thin, low‑quality metal, and within just a few weeks of installation, wind caused the structure to lean and resulted in two broken louvers. We consistently followed the manufacturer's instructions and ensured the louvers were kept in the vertical position during windy conditions. My husband is a contractor with extensive experience building homes and took great care during assembly. Throughout the process, he expressed concerns about the lightweight metal and questioned whether it would withstand high winds—concerns that unfortunately proved to be valid. We have since noticed Backyard Discovery's website that they have added corner braces to newer versions of this pergola, which suggests the company may have recognized durability issues with the design we purchased. We live in Colorado, where sustained winds of 10–30 mph are common, with occasional gusts reaching up to 70 mph. Despite being advertised as capable of withstanding winds up to 100 mph, this pergola has clearly not met that standard in our experience. My husband ultimately had to tie it down to prevent further leaning. I plan to contact Sam's Club to see if a return or resolution is possible. If neither Sam's Club nor Backyard Discovery is willing to make this right, this will result in a loss of over $2,000 for a product that did not perform as advertised.
