Toxicity in home I placed this product in my attic. The rat perished in my ceiling and the smell made my home uninhabitable. In addition, the poison the rat ingested seems to be getting into the air with the decaying odors. My husband fell ill and had to be hospitalized. They found that his blood levels were suspicious of poisoning. His liver enzymes were elevated and his potassium was dangerously low. When I enter the house I get a chemical taste in my mouth and have to leave. My family has been displaced for 2 weeks with no solution in sight. I wish I never purchased this item.

Since it’s Winter I was concerned about mice coming into the house. Last Winter I had two mice in my basement. So far I haven’t trapped anything this season.

It works great to keep children and pets away from poison while taking care of the nuisance of rodents coming into our homes. If you have a rodent problem then I recommend this bait trap for you.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Tomcat Rat & Mouse Killer is very easy to use and has an unusually pleasant smell for an exterminator-type product. I have used spring traps in the past, but find them difficult to set and worry about my dog getting hurt. The only drawback is that the mice can leave the trap and die elsewhere so you can't dispose of the body. This can be a problem if the infestation is in a wall or crawlspace.

Also has a clear lid so you can see if the bait has been eaten and disposal is easy too just one scoop and you are done. I live in a rural wood area and they come in my garage. I did get one so I know that it does work. All you can do is put them out and wait.

I honestly just find it really funny how it says "dog resistant" on the literal label because I set this outside to remove my problem of rats and mice in and outside of my home and guess who got into it and chewed it up. My dog. We are literally trying everything to save my dogs life because she got into it and ate every last bit at this very moment. Not the greatest night for me and I can't really write how well it worked out to kill my mice because it might just kill my dog :).
