I used to just set it on a tray but this keeps it all contained. I have had one dead mouse so far. I use it in my basement and I will set one out in my garage and on my porch as well.

What I don't like is the bait itself doesn't have any type of protective covering/plastic - they are not individually wrapped. I wasn't expecting this so I opened the packaging with no gloves on. I got bait dust on my hands and my phone. Not sure how harmful this is to humans so this was a concern of mine. It is effective. I saw chewing on the bait, and then found a dead mouse. Just be careful and use gloves when handling the product, even when initially opening the packaging.

I think the black plastic box with the clear top is fantastic, that way I can see when a rat or mouse when it gets in and it makes it easier to disposed the plastic box unlike messy glue tramps or the old fashion tramps with the metal hinges.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi So I obtained this rat killer and put it out where we saw a rat, and as we have dogs in the house and neighborhood, I was slightly nervous. However it was all fine, except, no rat, we did however get another mouse. We had some storms roll threw after we put trap out and it didn't seem to experience any issues as a mouse was still obtained.

Totally didnt work. I gave it 4 months!! Not 1 dead mouse until i got a cat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] this is a nice trap. i really like that it is dog and child resistant. i haven't noticed any rodents caught in the trap, but i like having it for just in case. i like that the top is clear so it is easy to check if something has been caught.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have set the Tomcat Rat and Mouse Killer in a location that had indications of mouse droppings. It has only been a few days so as of now it has not caught one yet. I will continue to monitor it daily and will update my review.

My backyard is a babbling brook and it’s like a watering hole for the field mice so I put this next to my house to try and get them before they enter the house. I like that’s it clear and you can see the bait and you can see that it’s being eaten by the field mice.
