Don’t bother with these. I followed the directions - wiped down with alcohol, held for 30 seconds and waited several hours before attempting to hang my lights. As soon as I got the strand connected to one of the clips it immediately fell off the porch shattering my lights for the SECOND time. That’s right, I’ve wasted money on two boxes of lights now - both resulting in shattered bulbs because these clips don’t hold up. Don’t be like me and give it a chance, let alone two.

I have used other command hooks to try and accomplish hanging up lights but they never held the whole season and didn't hold the lights up well. These clips hold the light strings perfectly and I don't think the clips are going to come down until I take them down. I'm so excited to take my holiday lighting to a whole new level. I look forward to all the new products that 3M comes up with.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used these hooks inside the house on my bedroom wall to hang up some lights. Very easy to use. Extremely durable. Removal is very easy, does not ruin the paint, and leaves no tape or sticky residue.

I love to decorate for all the seasons. I even hang pink lights up in spring inside around my windows. Since the command photos showed hangers on lights outside of windows it has to work on inside of windows. Right? No they don't. Followed the instructions for placing the hangers. My husband and I put the lights up together a round my big front window inside. I was so happy it looked great UNTIL... I heard a pop and all the lights fell off on the floor. The lights were very small LED lights that that had no weight at all. It looked so nice and organized after we first put them up. I traded my ugly thumb tacks for the command hooks. I just wish they worked. How disappointing. I had so many great idea and uses for the command products I had in mind. I am very sad. I love to organize its a pass time yo could say. So that really adds to my sorrow all the great ideas that I will never get to try.

I had a place that no lights could be hung up , but was really trying to figure out how I could get lights to stay and was able to find these and they worked perfectly for the spot I needed.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are using the command outdoor light clips to hold string lighting on our back porch. We use them on the underside of the ceiling. We attached the clips to the wood. The clips have been holding the lights well, none have fallen or slipped. I recommend the light clips.
