I bought these to string christmas lights in my kids rooms (indoor on smooth, clean painted wallls). I followed instructions, cleaned the wall, dried the area, held fir 30 seconds and within 5 minutes several clips had simply fallen off the walls. Over the next few days even more fell off. Two weeks later and not even half are still attached. Very dissapointed in this product. Other command hooks and strip have held up amazingly well and I love the product. But this one, totally fails. Not sure what's different about the clear sticky tabs vs the white ones, but I will never again splurge for the clear ones that were more expensive.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love to decorate the outside of our house for the holidays, but don't want to ruin any siding/window sills/doors/etc. These Command Outdoor Light Clips are perfect for that use. They go up easy, hold the lights in place, and can be removed without damage. Be aware that some heavier outdoor lights may require more clips, but at the price you can easily buy more packages to use.

For the second year, I have used these to secure lights on our front gate (white vinyl) which gets opened and closed several times a day. We live in Oregon and Christmas is a very rainy and occasionally snowy time, but we've had absolutely no problem keeping the lights exactly where we want them in a very exposed location. Last year I removed the hooks when I took the lights down. This year, I am leaving them on at least for a while to see if they will last through the year. They are clear so they are practically invisible on the gate. I did follow the instructions exactly and cleaned the gate with alcohol and made sure it was completely dry when I put them on.

To be fair, I love the indoor Command hangers. I moved to a new house and was looking for a way to hang Christmas lights. One window especially as it is covered all round by Aluminum flashing. Tried the outdoor light clips, followed the package directions. Some clips didn’t even stick right away, others stuck fine, waited the hour, most stuck while hanging the lights, a few came off. Next day we had a rain storm with wind, a few came off but on the window, all just pulled off. Very disappointing.

My husband was not going to be able to help and I had one pack of the out door light clips, so I bought 2 more packs. I had never used them before but talk about easy. My daughter said no more going back, from now on she was using the command outdoor light clips

I bought a few packs of these strips so I could hang some lights around the edge of my mothers patio. The lights were just your standard small bulb lights, nothing heavy at all. I spaced them about 1 per every foot then hung the lights. About 2 days later all the clips wouldn't stick anymore and the lights were on the ground. It is the middle of summer but the package says up to 125 F so I'm not sure what the issue was. Oh and I made sure to clean and dry the surface of the metal patio cover before I hung the lights. Disappointed.

So.... I use these clips for my kids' cups. They fit PERFECTLY for cups. I just put a sticker on the flat side so everyone knows which cup is theirs. We have 6 people and I got tired of seeing 12+ cups out because nobody ever remembered which cup was theirs. These work exactly how I want them to.

If you are a person who likes to decorate with lights for different holidays, then this is a perfect easy helper. you don't need to mess with a staple gun or anything like that, that would leave small holes.
