They easily can hold 1/2 a cup of water, and have absorption padding for the rear end and front the front pouch. They stretch, mine are a size Large, but before stretching it out it has more of a Medium size waistband. Of course you want it to be tight for a better seal, but it could be more comfortable with the use of a bamboo-like material in the stretchy areas. They definitely will last long enough for you to clean up after an accident, but they probably won’t last your 5 hr road-trip to your next hotel.

My left leg is in a full length heavy cast because I had an accident and broke the tibia bone. Yet wearing this disposable underwear is ideal. It fits snug even the leg opening allows me to pull it up over the cast. I have a 38" waist and L size is good enough. I find it is just what I needed, don't know what I would do without it at night.
