Making sure the cuff is on correctly is an important step. I understand it takes time to make sure it is the right tightness and aligned properly. Once you get used to taking your blood pressure regularly it does become much easier. If you keep having difficulty though it could be that you need a bigger or smaller cuff size. You can check by measuring the circumference of your upper arm. The cuff that comes with this kit fits arms 8.7 in - 16.5 in. If you're close to the smaller or larger end of the size range then you should consider replacing the cuff with a different size.
