Hurricane season is coming up and did not want to be looking for a generator at the last moment. Considered Generac system but couldn't justify the expense for something that will rarely be used (hopefully never!). This generator combined with a transfer switch added by an electrician should do the job if the power goes out for a lot less money!

We recently purchased the WGen9500 generator and couldn't be happier. It is large enough to power all major appliance in our 4000 sq ft home. The unit seems sturdy, has strong welds, easy to move...its pretty close to perfect. We were pleasantly surprised on how nice the unit really is. I would recommend and would buy again.

Purchased product a short time ago and have used for several hrs with no issues what so ever.Living remotely in maine, we loose power frequently throughout the winter months and now feel very secure knowing we have the stand by power. I am very pleased with this unit and look forward to many years of use.

I did a lot of research before purchasing the WGen9500. For the price and the power you get out of this machine, there was no question in my mind which generator I would buy. So far I have finished all the preoperational steps and am now ready to gas it up. What I can say so far is that when following the instructions, there are a couple things that were different for my machine than what came with the instructions. Example, It tells you to connect the negative cable to the housing of the alternator. There is an empty screw hole here, but the cable is not long enough and was already connected as part of a wire bundle elsewhere. Also when shipped, it takes just over the amount of oil they ship it with. I was checking frequently to ensure I didn't over flow, but it would have been nice to know how much oil to expect to put in. I'm still very happy with my purchase and would absolutely purchase again. This being said, I have yet to use it so I reserve some judgement until I see it run. From everything I have seen to date, I would be surprised if it doesn't run extremely well.

I received the generator and opened the carton the same day. Did not have a issue with anything. Was very easy to assemble every thing you need is supplyed. Several days later I serviced the generator and have done the brakein peroid according to the manual. Just wating for a warmer day to do a full run on the generator. Very happy with the unit so far.

Just bought in preparation for hurricane season in Florida. Generator has all the features I need and at a reasonable price. Item was delivered on promised time but box was damaged in transit. No visible signs of damage to Generator. Have not had to use yet so can't accurately describe performance.

I bought the Westinghouse 9500 single fuel generator online a day after hurricane Beyrl hit our area. Living in a rural area I already knew that the power was going to be out for an extended period of time. I came about two days later and life was back to normal. I stayed cool inside with it running our large window AC unit. Figured out how to wire up my well pump to it and had water. Fridge and microwave along with lights were all plugged in as well. The generator was able to run everything pretty well but out of caution I turned off the AC when I needed to use the microwave or wanted to cycle the well pump. I’m definitely going to install a 50amp power inlet box to my main breaker panel so I can power my home easier compared to running a game of Tetris with the extension cords. Definitely glad I purchased a generator but even more grateful to have purchased the Westinghouse 9500c size. I have no more concerns about power outages while living in a rural area. This thing made it a pleasant experience and I had WiFi, TV, AC, refrigerator, lights, microwave, a well pump, and whatever small appliances I needed at the time running off of the four 120v power ports. The most important of them all was the AC and coffee maker. Overall I’m satisfied with the price point and product.

Well packed for shipment and complete with a charged battery and a bottle of engine oil. Took less than 10 minutes to unpack and add wheels and feet. Added gas and connected battery plug, then hit the starter button - ran immediately. Tried hand starting, and it fired with the second pull.

I just purchased the unit. It was easy to get the wheels on, the oil in, and to understand how to start it. It took two attempts to start it. This is understandable considering it was the first time it had gas in the system. I shut it off, restarted a few times. It started right up, no problem each time. I then used it to run an angle grinder for a while. Everything was working great. I think this is a good piece of equipment.

PURCHASED AND RECEIVED ON 10-18-23. SAT UNOPENED UNTILL 1-14-24 , ASSEMBLED EASY, STARTED AND RUN A LIGHT LOAD FOR ABOUT HOUR, FUEL USAGE LOW AND WAS QUITER THAN I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. VOLTAGE WAS STABLE, USED AN ELECTRIC HEATER AS A LOAD. OVERALL VERY SATISFIED
