I bought this generator through amazon Oct, of 2020. Was only used when power to our house would go out, so I have less than 20 hours on it. Generator started running bad found the inside carb stud was broken in half with the threaded part still in the head. Called Westinghouseabout the 3 year warranty wont cover the work. My opinion bad workmanship por quality of parts.

I've only had it a few days, so it hasn't been put to the test.... yet. The 9500 running watts and a 50A circuit are plenty to keep the lights, refigerators (yeah we have 2) and even the central air running. Come winter if we lose power we'll be in even better shape. I've never met a portable generator that starts without the choke, till now. The remote start is awesome if I'm not home the wife just has to point the remote out the window if the need arises (obviously I'll have everything hooked up and the battery switch on prior) so in the event of, I don't know, a hurricane (like the one that just passed through this week) she doesn't need to go out in a downpour if I'm not here. I honestly wish it held some more gas, not that 6.6 gallons is small. As long as it runs through the night I'll be happy. I also like the handle, much sturdier than other generators. The large wheels give it enough ground clearance that I can pull it over a curb if neccessary. I'm looking forward to putting some load on it and seeing what it's got...... not that I want the power to go out, we'll find something else ;)

Produce was order July 13, 2024 and finally arrived July 26, 2024 with a very damaged box, but the product inside only had a single scratch. Totally understand that the warehouse and delivery service were responsible and it had nothing to do with the Westinghouse product. Product appears to be on working order.

Bought this generator after researching others on the market and the price, features and power were too good to pass up. Have only run for about an hour to test it out but no issues so far. This generator has plenty of power for a home backup. I haven't tried the key fob but it's a nice feature I guess. It is considerably loud so take that into account if your live close to neighbors. Would rate it 5 stars if I had more time to see long term performance.

My wife and I purchased this generator because we live in a location that many trees have been dropping on our power lines. We had an electrician wire a box so that only our essentials (a light or two, refrigerator, water heater, etc) are drawing. The setup was easy and for the price it is wonderful to have the knowledge that we are safe. We have used it for a few years now after both summer storms and winter nor-easters and we have no complaints!

After reading several online reviews by someone other than the seller or manufacturer, I ended up purchasing this Westinghouse 9500 Generator. The price point was great, very easy assembly out of the box, great features and with a name like Westinghouse, it was a no brainer.

I bought this generator because when I lose power I usually lose it for several days at a time. It set up very easily, not much to it. I ran it solo several times using the remote start. Excellent. I had my electrician install a transfer switch with ten breakers on it. Once everything was hooked up we did several trial runs. I was able to run my boiler (heat, hot water) 2 refrigerators, 2 microwaves, 1 freezer, 15000 BTU A/C, 3 TV's, and 95% of the lights in my house (Not including outlets as well). No problem at all. I didn't even bog down or strain under the load. The electrician was impressed with it. As I said this was a trial run but it performed very well.

I just bought this generator and after setting up which was super simple and quick. I did the first run with no load. After that I did a load with just a small 32 inch LCD TV and a lamp. Then I added my deep freezer and refrigerator. The thing didn't even bat an eye and I was no where near close to the wattage of the unit. The next power outage I have I'm not gonna have a problem running everything to make my family comfortable.

I recently bought this generator and I am extremely pleased with it. The assembly was easy and the instructions are excellent. Besides giving us plenty of power, I love the push-button start as well as the remote control. It runs very quiet and we look forward to many years of use.

The gen. Is great and so far the only problem I had was the way and condition of the box it was delivered in. The two guys that delivered the gen had Destroyed the box. It had holes through out the box and the bottom was wide open. The delivery guy’s destroyed the box trying to show me any damage. Even though the box was a mess the gen. Was still in good shape.
