I bought this to use when the electricity goes out in my household. A few days ago, my house went out of power for the whole day from a tree falling on the power line, luckily I had purchased this generator and I managed to turn my whole house's power back on. It was like there was no outage and my family was able to be very comfortable thanks to the generator. It's very useful and makes a person feel reassured that they can still get power during an outage. Amazing and useful poduct. No regret purchasing it!!

Works great as a generator, some of the part locations are strange. But generator starts up easily and wheels and handle help with the weight. Had a frame issue out of box where wheel isnt flush but tilted and therefore rubs against the battery. Dont think I can hammer it out, will see if a longer pin and spacers make it work. Will see how Westinghouse handles this.

This is my second Westinghouse generator. The first one is 10 years old and has always worked great. It is a 9500W and wanted to go bigger for my home with this 12500W. The 9500 will go to the cabin up north to continue its life. The new generator was delivered in perfect condition, minor assembly was easy and fired up instantly. Thanks for a great product.

We bought this generator in hopes of powering a lot more household items in the event of a hurricane. Removed from the box and added the wheel kit in less than 10 minutes. Added the oil and gas and it started right up. I absolutely LOVE the wireless start with the Keyfob. We hope we don't have to use, but if we do we are ready for Hurricane Season!!!

Bought this due to numerous Southern CA power outages for fire prevention. Decided on the WGen9500 because it would power most everything in my house. I compared a lot of units in regards to pricing, features and reviews and the WGen9500 gave you the best bang for your buck!!! Love that it has 4 outlets, that's hard to find!! and a remote start! Just received it so haven't had a chance to use it yet. Would like to say shipping needs a to be addressed. While there was nothing wrong with the unit itself, the box was open on both top and bottom and numerous tears in the cardboard around the box. Oil was also spilled on areas of the unit, the oil cap was not on tight enough. Even though there was a tag saying oil was drained for shipping, apparently there was still some left in it, Cleaned it up with disinfectant wipes.

Just got it, added oil and gas and it fired right up on the first try. Tried the remote and it worked great as well. Getting generator plug installed in a few days and I will be ready for the next power outage. Really confident this generator will be everything I need.

Easy setup after generator arrived. Added oil and gas and it fired right up with the electric starter (the remote control start/stop is a nice touch}. Power was a steady 122/244 volts at 61 HZ. The power meter built into the unit seems accurate compared to my meter. Haven't used it for an outage yet, but I have no reason to doubt its quality.

Super easy to set up out of the box and started up immediately first time I fired it up. It is pretty dang heavy even for a big guy like me so don't plan on pulling it some stairs without help. I thought I'd store it in my garage and then pull it up on my patio as needed but that won't be happening.

While I haven't used the WGen9500 for very long, the times it has been used has been flawless. The generator starts easily using either the push start or the remote control. Time will tell if the fuel efficiency is as good as advertised, and this was one of the deciding factors in choosing this generator. We live in coastal North Carolina and made this purchase for backup power during hurricanes, so I'm sure it will be tested fully soon.

I purchased an original generator in February through Home Depot. After getting the generator delivered it was found to have significant shipping damage. We contacted the GE Customer service line and was offered replacement parts or that they would work with Home Depot to replace the machine. This is the replacement which arrived in less than 3 weeks from the original purchase. This generator was delivered in very good condition. Assembly was easy and straight forward. At this time it runs well on a test and seems to be what we were looking for. Intended use is for backup power to our home since we experience frequent outages during rough weather.
