This generator is a great option to power our WHOLE house! Living in Texas, Hurricanes is always an issue that causes loss of power, and having the peace of mind that we have a Westinghouse to keep our house and family going is great to have! The 12 hour run time is amazing and makes it so there are no worries throughout the night.

I bought the WGen9500 on 12/15/21. Picked it up the 22nd and put it in the garage. Today, 1/8/22, I finally opened the box to get it set up and ready. Wheels went on nice and easy, the front supports we're the same ease. It's so much easier to move on the wheels. Putting oil in it was a little tricky because the funnel that comes with it is a little too short but it's definitely manageable. Finally I put fresh fuel in. Tried to start it a couple times and it wouldn't start. I started looking around and finally found the fuel shut off valve. I opened it up and on the second crank, it fired right up. Very easy set up. I did it alone and it took about 15-20 min for all of it. I'm having an electrician come to hook it into the breaker box so I'm able to use it to power the necessities in the house. So far, so good! Awesome machine.

I bought this generator a month ago in preparation for the hurricane season. It arrived in perfect condition. The setup, startup and break-in was very easy and started right up. I bought this to power my whole house and it has all the power to do that. The machine is very easy to move around even though it weighs over 200 lbs. I start it every month to keep it ready and it starts on the very first push of the button. I couldn't be happier and recommend this generator to everybody, you won't be disappointed.

Pros: Easily Powers our whole house (accept for HVAC system) well pump, water heater, 3 refrigerators, lights, tv....etc. ; reasonably priced; electric start; many recepticle options. Cons: loud (but it never claims to be a Quiet Generator) ; the 50 amp recepticle is positioned directly over the tire. Most HUGE 50A cords that plug in at a 90° angle will not plug in without removing the tire. (See pictures) Overall, it is exactly as advertised and we are happy with it.

After numerous power outages over the past couple of years, I decided to purchase a generator. After reading reviews, I chose a Westinghouse WGEN95500C. Packaging, Directions, Condition of Product & Early Performance have all met any expectations I have had. I have not needed it due a power loss, but as of now, all the testing I have done has shown I have a made a great decision.

I bought this generator three weeks ago. Am in process of doing the break in process, very satisfied with generators start up and out put. Push button auto start very nice, push once and within 3 or 5 seconds motor turning over to start. Mid 30s temperature have not had to use choke to start.

I bought the 9500c generator over a month ago. It was pretty simple to get it started. Even had my wife use the remote start inside while I placed the generator at the the beginning of our driveway (over 200 feet). It started like a champ. Got to use it during Hurricane Idalia for about 1 1/2 days for our Fridge, freezer, wife’s lift chair, C-PAP, and a fan. It was good to have it in a time of need.

Bought this after several days of power outage and rolling blackouts. With 9500 running watts I can run a bunch of stuff. Learned that the 30 amp and 50 amp plugs can be split from 240 to multiple 120 volt circuits with the proper generator cords (Westinghouse cords on the way!). Big enough to help my neighbor out if needed. Coolest feature is the remote start and stop.

I nought this generator last year (January 2021) and it sat in the box until the other day. Hurricane IAN was forecast to possibly come our way. Everything was in the box and after adding fuel and oil it cranked right up with just a push of the button! I’ll program the remote later today. I hooked up several deep freezers and this beast handled the power draw with absolutely no problem! Nice to have that peace of mind in an instant! Will definitely be looking to buy another for my barn and garage!

I bought this after Hurricane Sally left us with significant damage and no electricity for weeks. Before the next hurricane we decided a generator was a necessity and not a want. While we hope to never have another damaging storm we are relieved to know we can at the very least comfortably function with hot showers and safe food during recovery efforts.
