Unhappy

After 2 hours of putting this bike together the computer didn't work. The computer is a cheap plastic piece. Trying to peddle this bike it skips for the first two turns. I had a less expensive upright bike that I replaced with this Marcy one. Not at all happy with this purchase . If there was a way to return it I would. Money wasted.

Magnectuc resistant bike

Easy to assemble. Took my time. Flimsy connection for the monitor to record exercise. Although mine isn’t connected and it would be too much of s hassle to disassemble to fix I am using the bike and getting the results I want. I use my iPhone to record timing. Great for using during the cold weather season

Fine...at first

I got this for my dad but the resistance was too hard on low setting. Well, it was fine at first but strokes got harder. This really bothers me because a recumbent bike can be GREAT for the knees but not with too much resistance. It turns out the vheap belt inside was misaligned and stripping on each stroke, which would explain why the resistance was so hard on low setting. What a letdown, waste of money, and motivation sapper as it was the first time I got him interested in exercising. Would I buy this brand again. No way.

Bike is too big for petite people

I bought this bike after researching online several bike products. Unfortunately the bike is too big even on the shortest leg length. I can barely reach the pedals even when I scoot up to the tip of the seat. (Even the model on this website is sitting awkwardly closer to the front of the seat). I should've used better judgment. (For reference I am just under 5 feet.)

Nice Recumbent Bike

Great online order experience as my Marcy Recumbent Bike was not due for another two days. Receiving it early was quite a pleasant surprise. Assembling the bike by myself was super easy for this 65 year old grandma. The flywheel on this bike is really smooth, easy to pedal, and the bike is super quiet while using. No need to turn the volume up on my TV or wear my wireless headset like I do when using my Nordic Track Treadmill or Nordic Track Rower. The 8 levels of resistance offers challenging workouts for every fitness level. The LCD screen keeps track of your time, distance, and calories. The adjustable padded seats are big and comfortable and padded foam handles are comfortable on your hands. Another plus is that this bike has wheels lets you roll it to wherever you desire to use it. Very happy to add this bike to my home gym.

The Jury Is Still Out

Disappointed. I used the pick up at store option at Walmart. Took longer than the 3-5 days shipping option.I have no receipt. I signed something on their handheld computer, but they did not give me any paper work. Shabby. I was not expecting anything to be wrong with the bike. Who would have thought it would not have had the computer display in the box? I called the customer service number from the manual, registered the product, and they are supposedly mailing me the computer monitor/display. We will see. Instructions are not detailed enough, but did get it put together, minus the monitor/display. Which BTW, no wonder it wasn't in the box. It is not even listed on the parts list on the first page. There are typo's in the manual as well. Not cool. All will be fine and good if I get the monitor and the thing works.

Great product

Great product for the price. Bought it for therapy for my husband after his knee replacement surgery and it is perfect for that. Only possible downside is that it requires a good bit of assembly, but not difficult. It is also very quiet while in use.

Decent Bike for Price

Bike went together flawlessly in about 45 minutes. Only set back was screwing final pedal in place the threads on pedal arm and the pedal stud were burred a little bit preventing it from screwing together. Had to run a tap in the pedal arm and a die over the pedal stud. I'm sure it was a fluke, good bike.

A lot more convenient and cheaper than a gym

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Marcy NS-1201R Magnetic Resistance Recumbent Bike is simple to put together and takes a small amount of time. The Booklet that is included has very good instructions and pictures to assist in assembly. My 12 year old Granddaughter and i put it together with only one simple problem. After it was assembled i read the manual on how it operates and climbed on board to give it a spin. The booklet says the LCD screen wakes up when you begin to cycle but i noticed it did not on mine. I tried pushing the buttons on the screen and the screen lite up but showed stop in top corner even though i was pedaling. I took the screen off and checked the electrical connection and that was fine. Then i checked the connection where the front post connects to the main body and found one of the connections had been bent down. After straightening the connector it worked fine. This exerciser uses magnetic resistance which is adjusted by the user with a knob on the front post to increase or decrease the difficulty of the pedaling. It goes from 1 with is easy to 8 which is hardest. The LCD screen shows how you are doing by scanning your speed, distance, time and calories burned. It keeps a running record of your workout or you can clear the record by holding down the reset button. The seat is very comfortable and adjustable and can get you closer to the pedals or further away as needed. You can hang onto the handle bars next to the screen or the ones located at seat level. I wish the seat back adjusted forward or backward independent to the seat but it does not. The bike is well built and i saw no defects in welds and bolts went into place easily. The bike is quiet and smooth to operate and i feel i will use a lot more than i would go to a gym due to the convenience of having equipment at home.

Easy to assemble

The bike was so easy only took our 23 years old grandson 1 hour after I had unboxed it. My husband and I are 67 & 69 we needed it to get more exercise when it's to hot or cold to go outside. Seat wobbles but not to bad. Settings are easy to use. We purched a BBQ cover for it as it is on our patio and the bike covers has bikes on them " dead giveaway " being in apartments we wanted it to blend in. Love that we don't need to drive to the gym to bike and drive back home. Gym Times two = $220.00 a year. This cost $132.00 pays for its self in six months. If we don't go to the gym we stell owe them, win, win all around.
