I've used these for awhile. I have never had one that didn't work. I've also used the more publicized brands such as; Memorex, Phillips, Kodak, and Polaroid. The kindest thing I can say about all of them is, that not one would even get a three star rating from me.

horrible disc

I bought 2 100 piece packages about two months apart. The first 20 or so recorded movies fine. Over the next 20 or so the recorded disc played fine until the final chapter. They then became pixelated and eventually temporarily froze and then completely froze. Thought it was my drives, so I replaced them both and had the same issue but as I worked my way into the stack the issue worsened. I thought it was my software and I upgraded that. No effect! I complained to Verbatim and sent them all types of proof and pictures but they did nothing. Thinking I had a bad batch, I started a new package. By the 10th disc the problem started to return in the new pack. This problem occurred years ago but seemed to have been resolved a couple of years ago until now. STAY AWAY!!! Not worth a dollar or two in savings!

A Surprise in the package

Even though the product was packaged really good in bubble wrap, and even though the box showed no signs of having been banged around in shipping, there was damage to the product. The plastic container was cracked in multiple places and split open, but the plastic wrap was intact and had not been removed or replaced. So imagine my surprise when I got ready to use a disc and saw that the first two had not only been recorded on already, but had the titles written on them as well!? Superman 1 and Superman 2 were the first two discs, handwritten titles in green marker. Too bad I already had those two movies...:) Very strange situation in how this came about and it has left me scratching my head.

Good but 6 dvd's would not finish recording

Mostly good but at the bottom of the stack ,almost in a row, 6 dvds would record partially, then stop, not finalize and then a error popped up that the dvds could not be recorded on though they already had been and I could not salvage what was on the dvds either. Furious! Way to wreck my recordings verbatim! Not sure I will buy this brand again. The time spent and wasted on dvds that were bad was highly annoying!

Verbatim DVD Media

I have been into video tape and now DVDs for many years since home video first appeared back in the late 70's. In recent years I have switched over to the DVD format for recording and from time to time have run into issues with some media and my recorder as well as my computer DVD burner. I have found through lots of trial and error that for quality and compatibility I have not found a better brand than Verbatim to use with my video gear. My only complaint is that this brand is frequently hard to find in stores and can usually only be located online. But Walmart's site to store shipping and their online availablity of this product has been very helpful in obtaining this media. All told I have been very pleased with this product and with the Walmart site to store experience.

Great product

They work very well for me. I have used them for years, it is a verbatim product for making DVD movies that friends watch all the time. I have a friend that runs into some bad discs at times but we are quite happy with this item. I would tell others this is by far one of the best products to copy movies with and burn data discs on also. Buy this product, this is one of the most efficient companies that make these good discs. I have tried many manufactures through out the years. Good luck.

I ordered three spindles of hundrend broke

I order three spindles of hundred and three spindles were broke, two were so bad I had to return them and you could not notice they were broke until you took off the wrapper around the spindle. The disks were great but what do you store the disks on til you use them. I think who ships them don't know how to pack them and the company should make better spindles.

Great Value

These DVD's are a good product at a reasonable price. I previously bought these from Amazon and when they were not available this time my search brought up Walmart. The site to store is a convenient option, they were available for pick up just as quick as having them shipped priority.

Good discs

The discs perhaps are a hair thinner than the memorex or phillips i had used B4, but they seem rugged enough. They recorded and played back great. The price is certainly the best around.I was wary of ordering some on EBay that seemed REAL cheap as the brand I had never heard of.I call these a good value.

Does the job

I only bought this item because of the price and I go to WM often enough so it was easy to use the store pickup. I have only used 1 dvd so far. I expect no problems with "coasters". Really, this is not difficult. Any name brand dvd would be fine. I used to buy blanks at Staples on sale but the store near me was closed.
