I would not count on this for the holidays. It does not slice well and it is on the dry side for what is essentially a coffee cake type deal. Light on pumpkin flavor. I am glad I purchased one to sample before serving it on Thanksgiving, because I will be making my usual crowd favorite instead of taking this disappointing shortcut. I do think it is probably better if you warm it up and then serve it, but still not worth being so cruel to guests taste buds.

I usually don't write reviews, but I feel compelled to write one for this cake because I don't want others to go through the same unpleasant experience I had. It's probably one of the worst cakes I've ever had in many many many years. First of all, it doesn't even feel like a cake — it's way too dry, and the top layer is extremely hard. The bottom part of the dough has a distinct wheat taste, almost as if it wasn't fully baked. Using this as a dessert after a meal felt like a truly bad ending. I don't recommend anyone to try this. Of course, you can give it a shot, but remember — if you don't finish it, don't throw it away. Sam's Club accepts returns.

It's on the drier side for crumb cakes but I prefer it with coffee anyway. It is difficult to cut. The worse part is te package. It doesn't stay shut and the only thing holding it closed is the barcode. It's not taped on the opposite side so it comes open on the way home, spilling all in your car. You don't even get to enjoy the crumb because it's all gone from faulty packaging.

Looks great, crumbles when you try and slice, tastes ok.

Too sweet toppings. Too much toppings. Pumpkin part was good.
