Immediate Gratification

2006 Stock Mustang 215/65/16 BFG's to 235/60/16 Mich Defender T+H KYB Stock strut shocks. Fit great, full travel no rubs. Look and feel superior. Recommended as replacement for stock BFG traction T/A Radials. Quiet Sweet Cadillac ride with grip handling and response. Would recommend as an upgrade.

Great Tires!

I've had these tires on my car for two years now, including winter. I love these tires. Never had any problem with them and they seem to hold the road good in all weather. This is the second set of these I have purchased, as I had them on my last car as well. Still have lots of tread left. I am buying Michelin winter tires this year for added protection. Michelin are the only tires for me!

Great Improvement over other brand

I replaced a set of Road Hugger tires with a set of 4 Defender T+H Michelins on my 2000 Celica yesterday because in only 15K miles, the RH's developed a very loud, resonating tread noise at highway speeds. I was very impressed with the quiet, smooth ride and precise handling I instantly saw from the Michelins. Looking forward to many years of enjoyment from my new tires! As a former test driver at Michelin's Laurens Proving Gounds, I'm sure they will live up to my expectations!

Used to be good, now...Not so long lasting (i'm retired

Im old retired guy driving sedately in my 2015 Kia Soul. My last set lasted wonderfully, however; this set lasted half that with the same retired driving style, perfect rotation and inflation, as this old guy does. I may expect +/- 5%, but this is waaay out of spec. It's like the French gave this load to the Americans to manufacture. We're moving on.

We understand the Defender T+H tires on your _________ did not meet your expectation in terms of mileage. A member of our Consumer Care team will be in contact with you. You may also reach our office at 1-866-866-6605.

Smooth Quiet Ride-in addition it's responsive

Better handling than the M+S... I had purchased the T+H and the installer put on the M+S, talked to the dealer after driving those and they changed to what I bought. The difference was night and day. These are much better tires than the M+S. Very responsive to steering inputs.

Excellent Ride quality and Excellent in Wet Weather

I put these tires on my 1999 Chrysler 300M as a replacement for Michelin Defender LTX M+S, (Which I loved and still use on other vehicles) and have been incredibly happy! The road noise is all but non-existent, and the performance in wet weather is phenomenal. I will only use Michelin tires on this car! Worth every penny!

Failure to Meet Expectations

I have 2006 Toyota Sienna purchased new; it has been a wonderful vehicle. Like many others, I consider safety above all other factors, which is why I have purchased these tires a number of times. However I have been disappointed with the durability of this tire. This will be the third set of Michelin Defender tires I have purchased for this vehicle. The first two sets have failed by a huge margin to meet expectation concerning durability. My wife religiously takes the time to have rotations done. The vehicle has been checked for proper alignment. No matter. Withing 30,000 miles we have been recommended twice to replace the tires due to uneven wear. Even with the pro-rated amount included in the price of a new set it has become more expensive than I think is fair. I was talked in to this last set by my wife because she believes your television commercials. The tire salesman said the compound was a new formula in making these tires and that they should last longer than the others. This does not increase my confidence in the brand. There are many tire manufacturers out there.

We've driven lots of miles on Defenders

Bought in Jan 2022 for Chrysler mini-van. Have driven 75,000 (mostly highway) miles on them. Happy with them. Drive smoothly and good in rain. Don't know if I would say excellent in the rain, but definitely would give them a good. I think noise is average for this vehicle. Have had several versions of Michelin Defender tires on multiple mini-vans.

Best tire for a Toyota!

I bought a Toyota Solara and put new tires on it right away. Instantly car was quiet. The real surprise was the first snowfall when I did not need to slow down for slush. The car handled great and has not disappointed me now for 80,000 miles. I am shopping for a new set to continue my journey.

Quiet, Ride Well, but Tread Depth Lost Quickly

I bought four for my 1997 Toyota Camry four years ago. After 22,000 miles. tire shop told me the interior walls were disintegrating, exposing steel cords, and would not let me drive away with the tire because of liability fears if tire collapsed/exploded. Also, tread was down to 4/32 (should be 7/32 to 9/32 after 22,000 miles), and inner and outer surfaces of tire were without tread. Both front tires were in this state. Not what I expected with a 90,000 -miles-warranty tire. Always keep tires inflated 32-35 psi. Tire shop thought these results were due to manufacturing defect. I see tires were made in Mexico. Purchased them in July 2016. Warranty offer was for 49% coverage, but Defender is no longer available in 14" diameter, so only warranty option was an inferior Uni-Royal tire, a company owned by Michelin. Pretty disappointing. Looking for non-Michelin alternatives for two front tires, maybe General Altimax RT 43, recommended by Consumer Reports.
