These are probably one of the best, unless you grow your own. The only problem I have with canned goods, or any vegetables is when you get a stem or other parts of the vegetable that gets missed and ends up in the batch. But when these companies are canning this stuff you have to realize they're doing thousands of cans a day, and it's impossible to be perfect, and a stem can be seen if you look at the beans befor you serve them or even stick them in your mouth, it's going to happen. But as far as i'm concerned these are the best I could get at Sam's, or I wouldn't have purchased them. They are good. Also I noticed that as far as dented cans go, that usually happens when people have them delivered. Even when you pick them up it's less of a factor. And if you go to the store itself, you will know for sure, even before you pay for them.

I have loved Del Monte Green Beans all my life. I used to eat at least one can per day. They got more expensive , almost twice the price, but more importantly the quality has gotten extremely worse! I've finally had it. I'm not buying these ever again. The last couple years they have been getting worse. Sometimes they are full of grit. Other times they are mushy. Pretty much all the time now they are mushy, full of sticks or twigs, stringy and covered in brown spots like some kind of disease. I'm tired of picking out the inedible twigs and brown, mushy beans. This is not appetizing in any way and for the price? I've had enough. I'm done!!
