I have been asked by Sam's to write something about the green beans that I recently purchased. I didn't want to make any snappy comments about them. What can you say about beans? Either they come in cans, or they don't. These are in cans neatly arranged in a box but if you open the can you will find that the beans are not neatly arranged but just haphazardly stuffed in the cans. The beans are good for you and if you are on a diet you might lose some weight unless you cook them with, ham, bacon, onions, some olive oil and a dash of garlic salt. If you don't like the beans you can always just eat the bacon by itself (same for the ham).

These are simple to prepare and taste the period doesn't matter whether I serve them straight, with a little salt, a little butter, or anything I want to add to it.

Currently am on a few months of a soft food diet restriction so my preferred fresh and crunchy green beans require chewing that is not possible right now. Also my partner loves the soft green beans and avoids the fresh, crunchy ones when I make them

I love to buy Del Monte products and you can't go wrong when you buy the green beans, they are delicious

What type of wizardry does Del Monte use to make their green beans so much better than the store brand green beans? I have 2 cases of store brand green beans and I keep coming back to Sam's to get the Del Monte because they have a better taste. They are especially good with some kerrygold salted butter and a ribeye.

7 of 8 cans had various levels of denting but the package box was perfect. Does this mean Sam's Club is buying damaged goods from Del Monte and passing them on as new to the consumer? Have not tried the product yet but I am trying the Del Monte brand to see if the product is better than the Members Mark brand even though more expensive (too many stems and blemished beans in the house brand).

I like to buy Green Beans in bulk, they’re convenient to keep on hand. I’m disappointed in Del Monte’s inconsistency. I’ll open one can that has several stems in it and another that’s fine. I realize they can’t keep all stems out but compared to other brands they’re not doing a very good job.

Recently, I made a veggie pot pie with these green beans and after it was finished, we noticed very fibrous stringy beans with a bad texture. Thinking it was just a one off, we ate another can this time just heated up in a pot and sure enough, the beans were extremely stringy! I had to go through and hand pick out the strings and some weren't salvageable. Maybe we got a bad case considering the overwhelmingly positive reviews.. but needless to say we will pick a different brand of green beans in the future.
