The chair takes some getting used to, but then it is comfortable. It is a bit firmer than most - but that should make it last longer than chairs using a memory foam base (this one has coil springs). Since it is rated for up to 300 lbs., the back angle is rather stiff even in the loosest position on the dial. Also, the dial is very difficult to turn/adjust. This is in part to the flimsy cover on it which should have been hard plastic. I had to use a wrench to turn it, but once you get it where it feels right you won't have to mess with it again. Assembly is straight forward with good directions. Although I wasn't sure at first, the chair grew on me and I now like it and decided to keep it. Give it a week to get used to it. I think it's a good quality chair for the price. I'd rather have quality vinyl than that pressed leather that crumbles off that some chairs use. I did have to call Customer Service on the angle lock adjustment and actually got to talk to a real human being in a short amount of wait time - which was refreshing these days.

If I could I'd give it 2.5 stars. Purchased the chair in May 2024, it's now August 2025 and I need to replace the chair. I spend about 10-14 hours per day in the chair for work. I'm a big guy but less than the 300lb limit. Roughly 4 months in I leaned back in the chair and the recline lock broke and dumped me on the floor. I was able to fix that and continue using the chair. At about 1 year, it started making horrible creaking noises when I moved around, but it was still comfortable. This month I got up from the chair and I noticed it was sagging a bit to the right, appears the plywood base has cracked around where the arms bolt to the bottom of the seat. This week a spring broke and is now poking me in the bum very uncomfortably. The chair was very comfortable and worked well from me for about a year, I'll probably go to the store and buy another to give it a second chance, maybe I was just a little too hard on it.

I ordered this chair back in March and it never came. i was instructed to wait a few days since there was heavy snow in the area making deliveries late. once a week past with the item saying delivered i reached out again to sams for a solution. they said they would look into the situation but never reached out. i emailed them several times just asking for a refund at this point and still nothing. truly disappointed basically got robbed out of 150 dollars
