Next Gen Console!!!

I was on the fence about buying an Xbox Series S but now I’m glad I did. I’ve owned every PlayStation console since the PS1 but myself like many others haven’t been able to find a PS5 since the release in 2020. I think this worked out in my favor because I bought my first Xbox

An awesome little Beast

This is absolutely amazing, the best value for money you can ever get. I have a 4K TV which supports 60 Hz and I was amazed to see how beautiful games like Battlefield 5, Halo 5, Destiny 2 and The Medium look on this console. Even if I set 1080p as the max resolution in the XBox settings, it is just beautiful, could not have asked for anything more. I was able to install 14 games and I still have 20gb of storage left. I played games and watched movies on this system for 7 hours continuously today and it did not make even a little bit of noise, it did not get hot or anything. It is just amazing, the best console you could ever buy, that too at $300.

Small, but packs a punch!

This is my very first Xbox console and I have to say, I’m impressed. The quick start feature is very useful for switching from game to game almost instantly. It also runs games at 120 FPS if it is optimized for it. Where it lacks some power is in the storage compartment as you are limited to 512 GB. If you are planning to play many of the new next generation games coming out next year then you will find yourself running out of space quite frequently. Also you lose the ability to game in 4K and obviously the blu-ray disc drive. But for $300 this little machine is a beast and definitely one for the books. In the end, I would recommend this Xbox for a budget friendly entry point to the next gen gaming universe.

A small console, Big experience

This is a great console, as it has great graphics, Big space, And Quick Resume is awesome as it runs enabled games in the background. The controller is awesome as it has a grip on the shell and on the triggers and a new innovative D-Pad with a new Share button. Overall i'd say it is a great way to experience Next Gen for $299.

Buy a series X please

The one series s is 100 cheaper than a bare X why not just spend it then you get the real experience... Unless you have a older Tv then you need one of those too lol (8k) I'm going to wait for another week or so for the black friday bundle a get the Series x with 2 Sticks 2 headsets and 2 games a 4tb SD and hopefully a 3m gamerpass for my son it's going to cost about $850 but the HD is 200 so you tell me what is the better choice 399 half of the said extras or 650-700 for the bundle plus HD which he actually already has a 2tb on his oneS probably compatible so 599 bundle up charge is about 770otd and everything that S series will never be because of the processor and I rest my case

Bought it back!!! DONT SLEEP ON SERIES S

I was fortunate enough to acquire a Series S and PS5 from Target and Amazon at launch in November '20. I sold the Series S because I was trying so much to get used to the PSN Interface and I just couldn't. I regret selling the Series S and now I just scored one on Walmart. I can't wait for it to arrive and it be apart of my "120fps Gaming Station" once again. Don't Sleep on the S if you have a 1080p 120hz monitor, I have a 2 yr old monitor and it's capable of 120hz at 1080p!! If your asking what console you should get? Whichever one your more used to, have the most active friends list, achievements vs trophies, game pass vs ps now, etc. Those will help you decide, game on!!

Honestly I like it more then I thought

I honestly like the series s but if there was one thing I could change I would change the storage space because games that are optimized for the series s / X have to be installed on the internal storage so if you have a hard drive that you want to use for external use then the games that are optimized for Series S / X can only be installed on the internal storage but aside from that if you have a Xbox one it is still a great upgrade so far all the games that I ran on the Xbox was really smooth

Surprisingly Cool

I was lucky enough to find one of these in-store. I wanted to have it all ready to go to surprise my son Christmas morning. Setup was a breeze with using the Xbox App. It is surprisingly small, but I really like the looks of it. The new controller feels more premium to me and I do hope it is built better than the Xbox One controllers.

Very good system

Great System but a bit low on the memory storage. Recommend buying an external storage that is compatible with the system (which there is a 4TB one) and the 1TB internal storage for the games that are picky and won't work from the external hard drive which are mostly newer games and games upgraded to the x/s version for enhanced game play. If I'm wrong about some of the information I apologize but that's what I've found out while using this system. I think this issue also relates to the Series X as well although Series X comes with 1TB memory soo if you upgrade to the series X later on and already have the 1TB internal memory card/hard drive/whatever you want to call it then you just insert that into the system in the back and you have 2TB of memory right at start which is pretty good for any game to play from that's on the xbox.

Great console for budget gaming!

I have noticed that some of the comments are trying to lead people to believe that the Xbox S is better than the PS5. I have both, but I use my PS5 90% of the time. The Xbox is a great console, although the PS5 is the better console in terms of power and specs, I encourage buyers to read each consoles specs so that you can make a informative choice. Gaming is fun, no reason to bash any of these great machines.
