Assembly easy!

We have a ranch in Texas and last year we were without electricity for a week. We wanted to be prepared and also be able to us for work on ranch. I like that it uses propane and gas. I was impressed how easy it was to assemble and ready to use. We were glad we purchased.

Great Generator

I received this unit as a retirement gift from work. I connected the battery, filled the oil, added some gas and it started right up with both the start button and the remote start button. It ran beautifully. Noise was what is expected for a unit this size. I''m very happy with it.

Easy to Operate

We bought this almost a month ago and it arrived in great condition. Supplied oil in the crankcase, filled with fuel, hooked up battery, turned the ignition on, pushed start button and it immediately started. it runs very smoothly. Very Pleased! We would highly recommend this unit.

Nice generator

If you're in the market for a generator that promises reliability, efficiency, and the flexibility of dual fuel, the Westinghouse WGENT36000DFCV stands out as a robust choice. Here's why it's earned its place in my toolkit: **Dual Fuel Versatility:** One of the standout features of this generator is its ability to run on both gasoline and propane. This dual-fuel capability not only offers a cost-effective alternative but also provides peace of mind during fuel shortages. Switching between fuels is seamless, and the performance drop when using propane is negligible, making it a versatile powerhouse for various scenarios. **Build Quality and Durability:** Westinghouse's reputation for sturdy construction holds true with the WGENT36000DFCV. The generator feels solid, thanks to its cast iron sleeve and heavy-duty frame. This isn't just a generator; it's an investment in durability. The design, including the ergonomic handles and wheels, makes it surprisingly portable for its power class, though it's still a beast to move around, but that's to be expected with its robust build. **Performance:** With a peak output of 4,650 watts on gasoline and a running wattage of 3,600, this generator can handle most household essentials during outages or power heavy tools at job sites. The runtime on a full tank is impressive, offering hours of continuous power, which is crucial during extended power cuts or long days on the job. **User Experience:** Starting this beast is straightforward with options for electric, remote, or manual pull start. The inclusion of a VFT Data Center is a nice touch, providing real-time data on the generator's status, though navigating through the tiny mode button can be a bit of a challenge. However, once you get the hang of it, it's a feature you'll appreciate for maintenance and efficiency tracking. **Noise Level:** While not the quietest in its category, the noise level at 69 dBA is manageable for most uses, especially if you're not too concerned about noise or plan to use it in an area where noise isn't a significant issue. For those needing silence, this might not be your top pick, but for functionality over quietness, it performs admirably. **Conclusion:** The Westinghouse WGENT36000DFCV generator is a powerhouse of reliability and versatility. It's not just about having power; it's about having the right power for the job, whether that's emergency backup or powering through a construction day. If you're looking for a generator that combines American engineering with practical design, this model ticks all the boxes. It's a bit of a heavyweight, but for the power and features it offers, it's a worthy companion for anyone serious about their power needs.

Historic December Tornado

On December 10th 2021 a tornado ripped threw 6 states unfortunately killing many. I received this generator one week prior. The power went out and the cabin started shaking. I immeadiently pushed the automatic power remote and within seconds the lights came on. Saved all our refrigerated food and even though that tornado came within 200 ft of my cabin and a large tree fell within 15 ft of the roof ; just having the lights on was a comfort and a calming feeling through a very rough night. Thankyou Westinghouse.

Great Generator

I brought this home today and assembled it. Easy to follow instructions. Added the oil and connected a propane bottle. Started right up. Plugged in my 5th wheel and turned on the 15,000 btu A/C and it handled it with no problem. Turned on both TVs and the microwave and it ran all. Great generator!!

Exactly What I Ordered

Using the WGEN3600df as the sole source of electricity at my camp. Running on liquid propane. Easy to set up. Adding oil is a little tricky, especially when the generator is at ground level. Starting the generator is easier on propane than on gasoline.

Excellent except for one small detail

Starts, runs smoothly on propane (haven't tried gas yet as I don't plan on using it. Power output is steady. Noise level is reasonable. Unit appears sturdy and well-made. Handle for pulling is comfortable. My one complaint: The oil cap/dipstick. Location is hard to reach without getting almost flat on the ground; cap is cheap plastic and hard to thread, and already shows signs of stripping. I can tell already that's likely to be a problem. Even worse: The dipstick is essentially useless -- after screwing it in and unscrewing it, the amount of oil smeared on the stick appears to be the same no matter how high or low the oil level actually is. Also, it would be nice if the owners manual made it clearer that the ENTIRE bottle of oil that comes with the unit should be put in the engine. I tried going by the dipstick reading and ended up with too little oil. The Low Oil Cutoff saved me until I could figure out it needed the full 0.6 liters; otherwise it could have been a disaster. It's a shame to have to focus on a negative issue when the machine appears to be an excellent value otherwise, but it's annoying that the minor fixes (metal oil cap; separate dipstick that doesn't have to be screwed in) that could solve the problem haven't already been made.

Well Built! Dual Fuel!

This is a great generator, its duel fuel. I bought this one, as I wanted to remote start it via the internet. You can wiring being the button with just 2 wires to send a start signal. So it was very easy to put in a remote location and start it over the internet. Highly impressed by the build quality and once I tore inside of it, great construction!

Easy setup and start

Bought this as insurance for power failures at home. The unit was easy to setup - the rollcage makes it easy to tilt and roll when you need access to the underside (to install the feet and wheels). Adding oil is not convenient and a better location for an oil-add opening would be helpful. I did a trial run with propane and it started in a few seconds using the remote start. It runs smoothly but I have not had it under load yet.
