So far impressed, not run yet.

Just received my WGEN3600DF dual fuel generator. It was very well packaged and it's well built and impressive looking as well. I did not run it yet, snowing out. I put it together in the living room. Wheels are simple to put on, a bolt through the wheel, a washer on the inside With a push pin/spring clip type fastener pushed through the bolt and it's on, about 1 minute per wheel. The rubber feet go on with 2 small bolts with locking caps. I used my impact drill with a socket...less than a minute on each. Everything is tight fitting and well designed. It came with a bottle of oil (10W30 4 stroke small engine). It also came with a screw in funnel to fill the oil without the usual mess. I'm confident given the ratings it will run well and be a great item for camping. I had to upgrade my 2200W max generator, as it won't run the a/c in my new camper. After 3 days of comparing reviews etc, I choose the Westinghouse made in vietnam, because it was RV ready, and it looks very high end. Oh, electric start too, I'm getting too old to be cranking on a rewind. AND it comes with a Fob to start it remotely. It's going to get some looks, and i suspect others we camp with will have some envy, not that that its what i was going for.

Nice Generator With Duel Fuel!

I bought this generator for occasional power outages at my house. It's a really nice design, and the duel fuel option was a big seller. I definitely recommend this product to anyone who needs a smaller sized generator, and is worried about gasoline going bad

Easy setup and start

Bought this as insurance for power failures at home. The unit was easy to setup - the rollcage makes it easy to tilt and roll when you need access to the underside (to install the feet and wheels). Adding oil is not convenient and a better location for an oil-add opening would be helpful. I did a trial run with propane and it started in a few seconds using the remote start. It runs smoothly but I have not had it under load yet.

Excellent except for one small detail

Starts, runs smoothly on propane (haven't tried gas yet as I don't plan on using it. Power output is steady. Noise level is reasonable. Unit appears sturdy and well-made. Handle for pulling is comfortable. My one complaint: The oil cap/dipstick. Location is hard to reach without getting almost flat on the ground; cap is cheap plastic and hard to thread, and already shows signs of stripping. I can tell already that's likely to be a problem. Even worse: The dipstick is essentially useless -- after screwing it in and unscrewing it, the amount of oil smeared on the stick appears to be the same no matter how high or low the oil level actually is. Also, it would be nice if the owners manual made it clearer that the ENTIRE bottle of oil that comes with the unit should be put in the engine. I tried going by the dipstick reading and ended up with too little oil. The Low Oil Cutoff saved me until I could figure out it needed the full 0.6 liters; otherwise it could have been a disaster. It's a shame to have to focus on a negative issue when the machine appears to be an excellent value otherwise, but it's annoying that the minor fixes (metal oil cap; separate dipstick that doesn't have to be screwed in) that could solve the problem haven't already been made.

First generator and I'm impressed

I was going on a camping trip and needed a generator. My friend recommended a couple of brands for me about the same watts as this one. But looking at the ones my friend recommended, this westinghouse was a couple hundred cheaper and had the dual fuel option. Also has the 30 Amp connection for an RV, super quiet and neat design.

Easy to start!

Just received it in time before the power went out. Thankful to have the peace of mind that my moms oxygen will stay on. Really like the design and especially like how easy it is to start! We can start it with the remote key fob or just by pushing the start button. This is so important since I have a bad arm and can't start a pull start model.

Great design and perform

Bought this due to several recent power outages and did a bunch of research online before I purchased. Very happy I chose the Westinghouse. Started right up and runs beautifully. The duel fuel system is a major bonus and provides redundancy in case I can't get gas at the local pump.

Easy to Operate

I've used this a few times and it's well designed and easy to operate. The push button Start makes it ideal as a generator while camping. The only negative is that we had an issue with the remote start not pairing to the generator. It's moderately heavy, but pretty easy for 2 people to lift. The spring lift bar and roller wheels make it very easy to move around for anyone. We loaded it into our SUV to drive to the campsite and never smelled gas at all, which was impressive.

Great product so far.

It's much quieter than I thought. It runs well. I love the dual fuel feature. This will come in handy if you can't get fuel after a storm. Living in Mississippi, we have plenty of storms. The only feature I would change is the oil plug; it is difficult to put in and out. You have to get on your knees and the plug must be unscrewed from a tight spot. You can't check the oil without screwing it all the way back into the engine. It is quite heavy, but the sturdy wheels and handle make moving it a breeze. I also love that there are so many ways to start it. Overall, I'm quite pleased with my generator!

Easy to operate after setup

This generator is easy to wheel into location and operate, but the initial setup wasn't as smooth as expected. The wheels too extra effort to get threaded in properly. The oil dipstick is difficult to reach and, being plastic, could easily get cross threaded or stripped. If you are patient and don't for anything during setup you will be happy to have this dual fuel generator with electric and remote start.
