No joke, it does have menthol in the formulation but it doesn't warm up and sting like other products I've tried on my back, neck, arms or legs. When I first tried this, my back had been hurting for days. I had a very difficult time even trying to stretch my arms and legs out. I didn't know how fast the whole thing worked. Within minutes, my back wasn't super sore and it wasn't feeling like there was a fire on my skin after application. Just comfort. My back was able to finally just relax and I was able to actually get some rest. I am SO glad to have found BioFreeze. This is a life saver.

The mentholatum scent dissipates quickly. It provided some relief for my back, so I will definitely be using this in the future.

This is by far the best pain relieving liquid I have ever used. Not only does it work almost instantly, but it doesn't smell horrible, like so many other pain creams out there, it actually smells really good to me, more of a minty smell than a chemical smell. It does not leave you feeling sticky or oily and it lasts for hours. I really like that it is made with USP grade ingredients, and is free of NSAIDs, parabens, and propylene glycol. I am so thankful to have finally found a product that finally smells good but also provides me with instant relief from pain; because of this product I finally feel like I am getting my life back. For several years, my wife has experienced both knees with pain, to the point she now has to use a walker. She won't do surgery, tried braces and other external application unsuccessfully.
