[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This roll-on has a very strong menthol smell that lingered for quite a while. If you apply it then cover up the area it helps. Because my muscle pain is usually pretty deep, this did not help much, but it did not irritate my skin or burn. I do know others who like this quite a bit, so it just depends on the individual and possibly the source of your pain. It is worth a try instead of pills.

The gel has just a slight green tint which allows you to see where you applied it without causing much attention to you using it. It offers a smell that isn't to overpowering and it reasonably pleasant.

He enjoys using it most on shoulders and neck. The only negative is the smell, but of course it needs that smell to work. There’s no tingling, just a cool sense of relief with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love using the Biofreeze in the Roll-on form because it is so convenient to just roll over your sore spots, never have to get the Biofreeze on your hands, and you can carry it with you anywhere. It rolls on easy and begins to work to relieve pain nearly instantly and gives me long lasting relief which I need to get through the day. The quality can't be beat and it smells great, too.

I’ve got problems with my wrist and Biofreeze helps me cope with the pain. I’ll use it a few time through out the day and the pain is gone. I highly recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have occasional back pain that’s triggered when I bend over too much, or maybe stay in one position for too long. My pain is in my back, and is really deep, that I can’t even “reach it” to massage it or anything. (Now, since my pain is random, maybe I’m not giving this product long enough to work, or not enough chances to work.) But I will say that I like the roll on feature, it makes it a little easier to get places that are harder to reach. I couldn’t pinpoint the exact spot for my pain so I put it all around the area. You can’t put this on when you’re in a rush, you really need to let the gel dry and absorb into your skin (to get the full benefit and effects) The smell isn’t bad, and it doesn’t linger (maybe it would if you got it all over your clothing, but follow my advice to avoid that) The main ingredient used is menthol, amd it gives somewhat of a cooling effect. It seemed as if the cooling sensation distracts you from the pain in a sense, because it doesn’t last a long time. I’d recommend it for before bedtime, if you tend to wake up in pain. I also recommend the clinical higher strength formula with 10% menthol, if you really want to get some relief from pain! I hope this helps, and I hope this can work for you. Give it a try, there’s nothing to lose but possibly some aches & pains ;)

He has been very happy with the cooling actions of what he calls the lil ice crystals in it. He also has commented about the ease of application, thanks to the convenience of the roll-on applicator.
